I intened to leave a great review of this property as intial interactions w/staff were great, the bed was wonderfully comfortable & the room, though small, was cozy, clean & inviting. Unfortunately, i left an item behind and did not feel the issue was treated with any care and it was "never found". I woke up Fri with my pillow, went kayaking & returned with only 20 min to pack the car to vacate. At lunch realized i didn't recall putting it in the car, checked the car to no avail, and returned (less than 2 hrs later) & was told it wasn't found (no one physically checked, just quick responses from front desk and housekeeping). It's a queen size Ortho Contour Cervical Mem Foam Pillow w/ a pink & white Slip silk pillow case, so not easily mixed up with their white linens. I acknowledge my part leaving it behind except I returned in under 2 hrs. Was given conflicting info on whether the room had even been cleaned & was refused the ability to check the room, despite no new visitors having checked in to it. I had no other option but to leave, so I sent an email that day asking if it had been found- it went ignored for 4 days. I sent a follow-up message stating i was planning to leave a review since I hadn't heard back (was giving them an opportunity to remedy things before i did so) within hours received a response, stating it was never found. After this, I can't help but wonder what could have happened had we stayed longer and allowed housekeeping in w/all our belongings present?

A few days later when you acquired if anything was found, the pillow had still not turned up. This used to be my favorite place to stay in Tahoe, until my most recent visit. I was rushing to check out, and forgot to empty out a drawer that had 2 pairs of old navy jeans ($30 value each) and 2 pairs of nike sweats ($60-65 value each, one pair brand new with tags). Somehow the staff “only found” the two pairs of jeans and not my much more expensive sweats. Been going back and forth with staff and management to resolve this issue and still nothing has been done. Will not stay at a place where the staff are thieves.

Happy Hour during the weekday was a nice surprise. However advertising that they offer breakfast is an overstatement. Granola bars and coffee is not even close to continental breakfast. Also since they didn’t offer breakfast having a microwave in rooms would have been nice:
