Absolutely loved it! We were there for my husband's cousin's 80th birthday party and found out three more of his cousins and their spouses stayed there.

The owner (I assume) was texting me about the property for check in. First I thought this was great and thought it was an automated system but they kept texting. Second, we only stayed one night of our two nights booked and paid for, we left early because there was black mold on both sides of the wall where the AC is and weather was getting bad (snow). The owner also text me trying to say I stole a pillow and that is insulting. It smelled. It was very loud, neighboring room was fighting all night. Beds are so squishy that me and my husband rolled to the middle with each other, we couldn’t sleep. Smelled like cigarette smoke. Never once saw any staff in person or face to face. Very weird for hotels to be texting my phone. I hope they can make improvements. We were in town for a wedding.

two sides to every story. (2) 50 dollar pillows disappeared. Said need to check out early 12:07a because of storm and tried to get out of paying for the second night. Made up the black mold story after I declined to give a free second night. Just compare this review to any of our others

The place was so rustic and cool place to stay. Friendly staff. Beds were so comfortable. Awesome place to stay!

The property is small and easily accessible. It was after dark when we arrived and the property was not well lit. Fairly clean inside but we had to use the quilt coverlet as a blanket because there wasn’t a separate blanket on the bed. There was no bath mat in the bathroom. There was a very dirty matt in front of the sink but I didn’t want to use it after a shower. No one on property to report this to.

So sorry you didn't have a better experience. We answer the phone 24/7 and have staff 3 minutes away. I wish you would have just called so we could have addressed any concerns you have. We try to catch everything but obviously missed this time

When I took a shower and was going to adjust the showerhead it broke off. I was able to adjust to the handheld and finished with no other problems.

We love the porch and rocking chairs . It’s quiet,clean and the owner is always just a call away. Stress free check in and check out . Seymour has several great shopping places such as boutiques and thrift shops. Long branch restaurant is always excellent.

Quaint, cozy Pet friendly Gem
Love this little out of the way gem! Even though I arrived near midnight, check-in was easy. The room design was so cute. It was very spacious yet cozy. The bed....soooo comfortable. The best hotel/motel bed I've ever slept in. This location was a little out of the way. I chose it due to being pet friendly with no pet fee!!💜 The stained concrete floors were fantastic. No pet smells at all. The landscaping & curb appeal are also great. If there had been a pool I think I would have stayed for at least a week!!

Unique decor. Well-maintained. Great housekeeping. Downsides are never saw any staff except the very friendly and helpful housekeeper in the AM, and very difficult to get a quick AM breakfast (although there appeared to be a crowd at the grocery store...is that the insiders' secret breakfast place?) And I haven't yet received a receipt for the stay.

Thank you for the review. Gab n go breakfast across the street, sit down breakfast restaurant across the street an 1/2 block north. When you make your reservation through expedia they do not give me your email to send a receipt. I can send you a receipt if you will send me your email address.

I wish you mentioned what you did not like about your stay with us so we could have addressed while you were with us or at least improve. When you shoot from the weeds it's hard to know what you didn't like

Toilet seat loose or broken. I think it was the water pipes singing sporatically during stay. All times day and night. No info book. Never saw staff or office people. Couldnt use TV. Have never used satellite and couldnt work remote. Again....... No instructions. Next time will tey something different.

I am so sorry it wasn't a good stay for you. If you had only called we have staff less than 5 minutes away (and there every day). that could've taken care of everything. The text we sent you explains everyhing but I know some people don't read text. It is difficult to address the issues or even offer you a discount when you don't let us know while you are with us.

Really loved the stop here. A little hassle on arrival since not receiving the text message but the flaw was on my side. Cosy original room with even complimentary popcorn. If you are, for some reason in this small town in a middle of nowhere, this is the place to stay.
