«The property is very tasteful, International TV and has a very good power shower. My room was a good size and very clean. I was a bit early but the manger allowed me in as the room was ready (thank you for that). Spar across the road so got water etc. Perfect trip.»

«The apartment is nice but since this is NOT a hotel there is no front desk and you need to tell in advance what time are you arriving so they will be there. If you arrive earlier, even if it is after the check in, you can't enter./ I was with my family waiting in the curb for someone to open de apartment.»

«It was fine, nothing special or terrible. We never received the check-in email, but luckily someone was onsite to let us in. That was literally our only interaction with staff. Walk across the bridge to get into town, and if traveling with kids, there is a cute little park with exact (but scaled for kids) replicas of many of Portugal's (and it's current and former colonies) most famous sites, almost across the street. «I believe Antonio said the property was built in thef 30's. It was a good stay and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was good and nice to be social with other guests. There are lots of stairs so keep that in mind. »

«Beautiful old world apartment central to everything. Hotel was clean and modern and instructions were easy. Finding location at first was challenging as there is no car pull in or front desk. However once we arrived it was easy. The bed was a bit firm and walls very thin so heard the people above us. Gentleman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Worth the money and very safe. »

I found out 2 days before that there is a major construction project happening on the street, and there is no close parking - not even a place to pull up near the hotel to drop off your belongings. Daniel at the front desk helped with everything we needed, including arranging a taxi even on his day off, and speaks very good English. The housekeeper cleans the rooms and adds little thoughtful touches. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already rebooked another stay. »
