The hotel was in a nice and safe area of the city. It was easy to commute with trams and busses. The neighborhood was cozy, and nice a nice place to go on evening walks in. The rooms were dark, and the wallpaper was a few steps away from peeling off. You had to have the window open to get fresh air, and since they were rebuilding the building across the street, that meant an involuntarily wake up call at 6.00 am. The weather was also a bit could, so that was a serious draw back. The room was cleaned and we got fresh towels on a daily basis. The room was okay, but since we were there in November, we probably spend more time in the room than we would have during the summer time. It was a bit small, and there were no other comfortable places to stay besides the room in the hotel, and therefore it gave an all in all a bit poor impression.
The breakfast was really nice, with white bread, cheese, ham, fruits, croissants and other cakes. The staff were always friendly and eager to help with travel advises or information about how to get to the different sites.
Close by, there is a restaurant called Carlo Monte – STAY away! Horrible food and high prices. The restaurant next to it, Al Bozzi was, on the other hand, very nice! And remember, the price you pay on hotels.com does not include the turist tax on 2€ per person per night,
