We stayed for 4 nights. The staff was friendly, talkative, present and available when needed. This is an older property with dated rooms, however our bathroom was recently renovated and nice, and they are in the process of updating the rooms. We found our room to be clean and sufficient for a place to sleep and shower. The furnature is old and in disrepair but again, they are updating all of that and were working on several rooms while we were there.
There are what appeared to be long term residents at this hotel. The rooms are smoke free, however smoking is allowed on the property, on the balconies and right outside the rooms. As a reault, there was a smoke odor in our room. As a non smoker I found that very off-putting, but after opening the balcony door and airing out the room, it seemed to subside a bit.
The bed was new and comfortable, and we slept well. The property was quiet and we had no issues with safety. They only issue one key and its a traditional lock, not electronic. Housekeeping checked on us daily, but we declined services while we were there.
The parking situation is not great, but manageable. The lot is tight but not bad even for our full size pickup.
Its in a great location, a bit far to walk to the boardwalk, but definitely doable. There are lots of good places to eat in the area that are within walking distance or a short drive.
Over all, its safe, was quiet at the time of our visit and met our needs.
