Considering 4* rating, room was very unclean, and tatty. Bathroom tiles were all covered in soap scum and water marks, cobwebs all over the place. Bedsheets we’re stained and ripped. All table and side surfaces were covered in a greasy film.
We found a dead cockroach in the room, and was hoping that housekeeping would remove the following day so that we didn’t have to touch it… they didn’t.
We lost all water pressure one night (which wasn’t great in the first place), so we couldn’t shower. Reception didn’t communicate at all on when it would be resolved.
When there was water pressure, the water out of the tap was a lovely brown colour.
I tried to use the laundry service… on the paperwork it says that items received before 10am would be returned the same day, on bringing a few T-shirts and underpants to reception at 8am, I was told that they wouldn’t be returned until after 4pm the following day, which was after we were checking out, so no good to me.
The reception staff said that they would speak to the manager about the issues when we raised them, and would have a route to a resolution for us. On checkout there was no resolution, and no issues had been communicated to the manager, so the reception are ok with lying to your face.
I tried to raise with hotels.com during the stay, but customer service not working via the app. I got stuck in a sign-in loop and couldn’t speak to anyone.
