A very charming hotel
Great location, in the middle of the town. Rather quiet street. The hotel itself has lots and lots of charm. We had booked two rooms, one was a bit larger than the other. The bed at least in the smaller one was a bit small for two persons (and a bit short, but then again I'm 1.93m). There were no shampoo in one room on arrival, only conditioner. And the second day both the big towels were removed from the other room - without replacing them. Maybe the usual staff was on summer holidays (?). Very helpfull staff in the reception and at the breakfast servings. The breakfast I guess was ok for an english hotel, but the selection of "non-english breakfast" wasnt too big. Anyway; all good enough. All in all we had a great stay in Oxford - a beautiful place!

Staff were great and the room was large and well appointed, but it was very noisy as our room faced the student union and there was a big party on the front lawn. Also, very early (before 7 am) work noises out front.

The hotel is in a great location on a quiet street. Very convenient for Pitt Rivers and Ashmolean museum. Reception are somewhat battered. Room rather dark as small window in old building. Needed lamps on all the time. Lighting for mirrors terrible. To eat in the Breakfast bar we needed to exit the building, walk down the street and enter again via reception area. We didn't bother, insteadvopting for the hamper delivered to the room.

Fantastic hotel ! Great amenities - the 11th floor pool and sauna is a real luxury - and the 1st floor bar amazing (reserve a table to be sure of a prime view). Very good food, a great room (nice coffee machine) and the Valetta ferry is right outside the front door. A wonderful hotel, lovely staff, great location. Highly recommended.

Very convenient for Oxford city centre. Even though it was close to the busy centre, it was in a quiet side street. Very pleasant staff who were very helpful. Unfortunately, the bed was too hard for us.

The room decor was tired and not at all like the photos used on the website. The room also obviously backed onto a bar as you could easily hear music through the walls. Little things like the duvet cover being about twice the size of the duvet, the hairdryer had no power, all add up and so we were overall quite disappointed. Plus points however were that the shower was really good and powerful, and the location was excellent to explore the city.
