Overall very nice property. Front desk staff could use some training. At check in they asked if I had an IHG Membership. Upon finding that I did, they said I couldn’t collect points since I had made the reservation through Expedia, but they would accommodate an early checkin and call me as soon as a room was available. That was at 12noon. I watched groups of other guests walk up, check in and head to their rooms. By 3:30 I hadn’t heard from them and when I asked they acted like I was looking for special treatment. No, your published check in time is 3pm.
On the “Property Details” section on Expedia they listed Breakfast included. There is no buffet. You have to request a voucher from the front desk, take it to a Bodega next to the lobby and they allow a breakfast sandwich and drink. The food is terrible and without a voucher it costs $13.50.
The bathroom sinks are a sleek Kohler designed porcelain square with a short faucet in the back corner. It’s so short you can hardly get your toothbrush under it to rinse it off and any spittle that accumulates on the drain screen just sits there because the faucet isn’t pointed at it to rinse things down. Aesthetically pleasing but functionally deficient.
