«We had a wonderful stay at the Bayou Chalet. We came with 2 Dads and our 2 sons for a 4 day ski race at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush. The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and a great mud room for all of our gear. We were very close to both mountain bases and a short drive to Waitsfield. John the owner was super responsive and kept checking in to make sure we were having a good time. We all said that we loved the place and would definitely come back!»

«We wanted a cozy place to stay over Christmas, and we found it! The house is older, but so full of charm! Everything from check in to check out was a pleasant experience. The hosts were amazingly responsive, and the house included so many wonderful touches (including a S’mores basket and cookie cutters!) to make our family trip a fantastic experience! The house was immaculate, much cleaner than many hotels I've used. And it just has so much room. It's in the perfect spot - out of the way yet not too far away so you can get to a grocery store in a few minutes. Everyone said that they would like to come back for another stay.»

For such a high cleaning fee, I did not expect to have to make the beds when I arrived, but did find it was in the fine print. The house is in decent condition, but having the furniture all covered with furniture blankets made it feel cheap.
