«This is a well-maintained cottage of recent construction. It has two large bedrooms, each with a full bath, and a large kitchen/dining room/living room between the bedrooms. It also has a spacious screened porch that is surrounded by forest. Indeed, the whole cottage is surrounded by forest in a neighborhood that is like the Wind in the Willows. It is a beautiful property, inside and out; and the owner, who lives next door, is helpful»

I was a bit hesitant to book it because it was a new listing with no reviews yet, but I took a chance because the photos were appealing. The house is beautiful! It’s a little sparsely decorated, but that didn’t really matter to us. It was a quick drive in to Asheville, and we were very excited that you could walk out of the door and be only a five-minute walk from the Mountains-to-Sea Trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house itself was comfortably furnished, and the hot tub was great. The kitchen has the basics in terms of cooking implements, but guests need to bring their own staples.»

The main room provides an authentic cabin experience in the midst of beautiful mountain greenery, while the updated kitchen & bathroom provide the modern conveniences. Hosts provided us with excellent information about things to do in the area. We loved the location that is very close to quaint downtown Weaverville and excellent restaurants. «We were .5mile from downtown. It is vertical living, but the elevator was super useful for a friend who has mobility isssues with stairs. Generally the unit was clean, but there was mold/mildew on the floor of each shower. Had I packed flip flops, I would have worn them in the shower.»
