Central and expensive
Central, huge rooms, good comfort. Very expensive though, but you get what you pay for. Hotel charged the room twice though, so they need to look into own routines. Mailed them about the issue but still no answer.

Fint hotell med god beliggenhet, nært sentrum (deansgate, Arndale,etc) men i et stille område langs elven. Veldig hyggelig og service innstilt betjening. Meget god frokost, vel verdt prisen på GBP 15. Hotellet har også et bra og velutstyrt gym. Fine rom med mye lys og store vinduer, og fint bad. Vi hadde litt problemer med temperatur på ventilasjonsanlegget, så det var ganske kaldt på rommet og det endte med at vi slo av ventilasjon, noe som gikk litt utover komfort. Jeg tok det opp med betjeningen, men det eneste de kunne gjøre var å be maintenance undersøke samme dag som vi sjekket ut. Uansett hadde vi et bra opphold, og kommer gjerne tilbake.

Finner ikke bedre hotell i Manshester
Fine store rom - med gode kings-size senger. Rolige omgivelser og hyggelig betjening. Litt stive priser på frokost og vi valgte å spise ute 2 av de 4 dagene. Fantastiske fruktfat og frokosten var fortreffelig.

Flott hotell med ideell beliggenhet i Manchester. Kort vei til restauranter og uteliv, og samtidig stille og rolig rundt hotellet. Flott bad med godt trykk i dusjen, rent og pent på rom og ellers på hotellet.

Front of house manager was rude and refused to give vip upgrade and then tried to sell me one. Didn’t offer any other perks and just generally rude. Honestly it’s left a sour taste in my mouth about this hotel

I have looked into the matter and can advise that when you arrived (1pm), we did not have any of our Executive rooms available due to a large group who had pre arranged a late check out. The only other available rooms at the time were suites, which would not ordinarily be given as complimentary upgrade. Hence, Front of house manager offered at a fee.However, it does appear that the matter could have been handled better, and I have discussed this with them.Again, I am sorry if this somewhat marred your experience, and hope you will consider returning to the hotel in future.Best regards,Alistair

Lovely, kind and warm staff all down to earth, a few of the young men are a bit cocky but apart from that this is probably one of / if not the best place to stay in Manchester. My only feedback is that the cheaper rooms are very tired and basic, it’s worth the money for upgrades.

the property and especially the rooms were fab!! however the surrounding area was not great! the fact there was no pool and a small bar surprised me it was a 5star but a lovely breakfast and beds were amazing. would stay again

Despite being offered an upgrade and discount on food/drink this wasn't given. The room was large and bed comfortable once we had called for more pillows! There was alot of banging and noise from the room above into the early hours. The bathroom was the biggest let down, the water pressure was non existent and there was no hot water at all, no bath despite requesting one for medical reasons (though with no hot water it would have been pointless). The hotel looks and feels tired, the bar is miserable and the staff clearly didn't want to be there and told his colleague loudly that he was closing up, we left as what can only be described as a "gang" arrived in the bar area and were messing with the piano and laying around with their feet on the seats. There is no 'spa' you can book individual treatments but no actual spa facilities exist in the hotel! Overall disappointing, we won't be back.
