Vil gjerne spise frokost ute.
Jeg var i Lusaka i 7 dager og hadde et brukbart hotell opphold. Det ble bestilt et klubbrom og det stod faktisk at jeg kunne få frokost for to. Det ble en nedtur at hotellet insiterte på at jeg måtte ta frokosten i klubbrommet. Vanligvis kan man velge om frokost tas der eller i restauranten som ligger ut mot en hage. For oss som kommer fra Norge i mars/april er det godt å kunne sitte ute, men den gang ei. Ellers ble jeg kraftig forkjølet når jeg var der. Personalet på hotellet var helt suverene og lagde tea med honning og ingefær til meg! Folkene som jobber der er hyggelige og hjelpsomme. men management som bestemte at jeg ikke fikk spise frokost ute har jeg lite sans for.

Et hotell som man trygt kan anbefale
Et fint opphold med blanding av job og fritid. Hotellet anbefales, spesielt fint med "open air" restautant som vender mot svømmebassenget og en hyggelig park.

Hotellet var flott, men de hadde aldri hørt om Expedia og hadde følgelig ikke vår rom bestilling! Veldig trist.

Høy kvalitet på mat og rom, men for mange feil
Det meste er bra på dette hotellet, men denne gangen var det personlige feil som gjentok seg hver dag de seks nettene jeg var der. Fant ikke reservasjonen fra hotels.com, ble bedt om å betale for frokost som var forhåndsbetalt, ble bedt om å flytte meg fra restaurauranten så de kunne ordne bordene og ta med meg drikke ut i lobby for meg og mine ni zambiske studenter. Ellers var alt bra, bra gym, svømmebasseng, flotte rom med Internet inkludert og stort sett god kvalitet på maten.

Not so bad but when asking for extended stay they sad they should try. We waited 4 hours and then we was told to move out, that destroyed that sunday which was planned to relax and use hotel facility. That was not an acceptable way to be treated, and most likely never use hotel again. Lucky us we got a nice welcome and beautiful stay at Raddison

Lovely renovated hotel. Very luxurious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately the gym was still under renovation. The bar/cafe is worth a visit. Breakfast is nice (but mornings are cold, so bring a sweater because it’s outside!).

The property is aging. There was no air conditioning in any of the lobby or downstairs area of the hotel. The entire hotel could use some paint and sprucing up. It is no longer among the elite Lusaka hotels and therefore, overpriced. We will be using the Taj Pamodzi for Lusaka trips.

アフリカでも流石のクオリティでした
名の通ったホテルでも対応やサービスがイマイチなホテルがある中で、こちらはさすがと思わせてくれました。モールからは離れていますが、少し歩くとガソリンスタンド併設のコンビニとスーパーの入ったコンプレックスがあり、ちょっとした買い物にも困りません。

I didn’t like anything at intercontinental hotel I was so disappointed. The corridor smells bad, the carpet is dirty you can see it. The bathtub was very dirty you can see it wasn’t cleaned properly, the white bath mat had black stains. I had to wear my flip flops to have a shower. Breakfast meals where terrible and the gym equipments needs replacement, treadmills belts are worn out they need change. Intercontinental hotel is just brand not quality. It’s expensive from nothing just brand. Don’t book there, don’t book for brand book for quality.

Central location
Hotel needs a face lift because most things are out dated inside. The staff is ok but could use more training in terms of being attentive to guests. Going up to the room, immediately you enter you are greeted by a foul smell which I later concluded that was from the fact that shower extractor fans don't work. Shower heads were throwing water in all directions and for a tall person like myself it was a nightmare. I honestly feel like bathrooms should be redone with new fans. I suggest doing walk in showers and removing old tubs. On one of the nights I stayed there we got notice that water was getting shut off in the middle of the night for maintenance. The place has potential to be the most amazing anyone would love to stay but lack proper managent and people with new age vision.

A Great Stay - A Last Minute Boo Boo
A few minutes to my check out, I noticed something: my Beats headphones were missing. I thought I had just seen them; thought I had used them while I was at the hotel. And then, they were missing. The Manager came to help me look for them, nothing. They were gone. And that, unfortunately, ruined a really good stay at the Intercontinental. The staff were just lovely; the food - nshima and beef - were delicious; sumptuous even. I enjoyed the nights; the bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. No complaints there. The hotel was also close to the office, so that helped me beat the Lusaka traffic. In the meantime, I am waiting to hear from the hotel and how they intend to review my headphone situation.

A nice place to stay in Lusaka.
Very nice food . we were picked from the airport even though we had not booked for airport transfer. The lady in charge of airport transfer (who was at the airport that time) is awesome. She welcomed us and made us feel very nice. The driver is super as he gave us an introduction about our Journey to the Hotel and he gave us some water. You have super staff . Bravo,,,

When I got there stuff where quite friendly and when I asked about late check out I was informed about 50dollas charge for a hour or if I am a member holder card I can check out at 14:00pm. I joined to be a member. The swimming pool was under renovation work so I brought it up with the assistance manager who she was quite helpful and apologize and offer other option for swimming. But I was checking out so she instead offered me points on my membership member card

Poor experience despite good hotel condition
Unfortunately, I've had a pretty poor experience at Intercontinental Lusaka, despite the fact that the facilities and service is nice. 1 negative remark: I was there for business for 1 day, and upon arrival, it took almost 1 hour for the desk clerk to check me in which ended up making me late for my meetings. 1 TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE remark: we booked a taxi with the front desk for the next morning as the shuttle timings (5:30 then 9:30AM) were not in line with our flight schedule. In the morning, the taxi the hotel booked for us was waiting. As we drove off , my colleagues and I realized that the driver was COMPLETELY DRUNK !!!!! We got so close to getting into accidents all the way to the airport, to the point that I even had to stir the wheel to avoid a car coming the other way!!!! I was never so scared in my entire life. The fact that the driver was drunk isn't Intercontinental's fault, but they should have NEVER EVER booked this taxi for us, and should have called another one !! Advice for future guests: check the taxi driver's ability to drive before leaving...
