Service above expectations!
Great service! Way anbove expectations. From restaurant in the lobby, the reception and not at least the pool area and bar at the roof deck.
It was a great pleasure staying there for 6 nights.

I booked a room with a tub and i paid for it. When i arrived the front desk it was a lady who did the checked in for me she was extremely rude and angry and it was very obvious she dealing with mental illness. I went upstairs and checked the room there was no tub and the it was different than what i paid for. I came back to front desk and ask her can you tell why i didn’t get a room that i paid for, She said oh we don’t have that room available so why you charge me for that price since it wasn’t available!!? Then she said it is what it is. Really!? If you want you can cancel it and return the key. This is most ridiculous thing i have ever seen for booking a hotel. Even though i contacted the Expedia to tell them what happened they call this hotel and said front desk told them they already upgraded the room but they lied to them there was no upgrade at all. Don’t even waste your time and money to book with this hotel they have rudest front desk you can ever imagine. I will never ever going back to this location amd i don’t recommend it to anyone!

The Godfrey is off Sunset so less touristy than Hollywood Bl which I love. The rooms are quite small and were really tough to navigate. There isn’t really anywhere for your luggage. And forget about unpacking. For the same price I could have stayed somewhere with a bit larger room. I didn’t love that. You can tell the hotel was made for efficiency.
However, the staff was lovely and the rooftop is a great vibe. There is a pool. The Hollywood sign in the backdrop. And walkable to some of the hottest nightlife. It’s a great spot. Prepare yourself for a small room.

Can hear everything from the inside out. I think the walls and door are too thin. People coming in and out their rooms is easily heard or if house keeping is cleaning next room it’s again easily heard. So if you need to rest throughout the day, not a good hotel to stay.

Ich habe zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel übernachtet, leider wurde mir trotz “VIP Access” ein winziges Zimmer zugeteilt, in welchem es schon eng war einen großen Koffer zu öffnen. Beim auschecken habe ich meine Koffer im Luggageroom geparkt, als ich diese abholen wollte musste ich jedoch 30 Minuten warten während mein uber bereits vor der Tür stand, weil die Rezeption mit mit einer Person besetzt war. Das Hotel ist ansonsten schön ausgestattet und liegt gut.

Property was very clean and nice. Food was good thought it would be small portions but it was delicious and filling. But they charged me for the hotel even though I already booked it a week ago and had to wait for a refund but besides that all good.

The Godfrey was super nice for a quick trip to LA. The staff was super hospitable and the facilities was clean and current. The beds swallowed me up and the showers had the right temperature and right pressure. The rooms a little small but had spots for all of my belongings. Also I loved how prompt valet was, when we called the car was ready before us. I would definitely come back.
The Cons: you definitely can hear the music from the rooftop and the bottom floor, but I was so tired I couldn’t care less. This is a lively area so you will hear everything from the street. The food and drinks were a little pricey and need a little help. My calamari was overcooked, and the lobster rolls were a little dry, and needed a little more seasoning. Breakfast was basic but I feel like you could get better from somewhere in the area. The drinks are $20 each but again when you are on Vacation who cares. I definitely would come back, I would just dine Elsewhere.

I had to leave the hotel due to the AC unit not wiring in the room. I called multiple times to get front office before an engineer was sent to the room and then another one who thought switching out the filter was going to fix the problem and who lectured me on keeping the shades in the room down so it don’t heat up. My daughter and I literally did not touch anything on that room. Changing the filter did not fix the problem and they wanted to give me and my minor daughter two separate rooms or have us in one bed, absolutely not!! Per Alexis, the front office supervisor, I should be receiving a full refund but it has yet to hit my account.

A really nice boutique hotel walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. The social spaces on the lobby level and rooftop have are nicely designed. Beds are super comfortable and the shower has great water pressure.

I booked a larger room, was not given it after I checked in, and they compromised by waiving the $38 facilities fee. The small refrigerator did not seem to work properly as perhaps it cooled to 50 something degrees; it had no knobs or adjustment. The walls are incredibly THIN as you can hear almost any sound from the hallway and adjoining rooms. Why was this new construction designed as what appears to be no adequate sound insulation; no wonder why people complain about noise. Housekeeping seems to think that their job is to knock on everyone's doors in the morning to wake up everyone by screaming HOUSEKEEPING, including mine which had a do not distrub sign on the door. I was woken up due to the HOUSEKEEPING shriek BEFORE my door was knocked on due to the thin walls! Basic rooms are really small. There are better hotel options elsewhere

The valet was convenient, however check in was curt and unfriendly. When asked for restaurants, response was “I’m not from around here but you could walk up the street”.
