Adorable cabin on the lake

Unfortunately, we were unable to access the cottage because the lock codes were incorrect. We made numerous attempts to contact the owners in order to access the cottage. After we returned home, the owner did text us a different access code. We did look at the dock and beautiful lake while there. We did notice that the dock was in need of some safety repairs. The outside of the cottage did not look like the pictures. We were very disappointed by this whole experience.

We regret that there was a lock malfunction upon your arrival with the electronic lock. As mentioned, there was a delay responding as we didn't have cellular service for a couple hours so you returned home. We promptly refunded for the full amount of booking. The dock was also professionally repaired after your bringing to our attention. One of two bolts had broken and it was secured. Pictures are of the actual property. Again, we're sorry you weren't able to access, enjoy the great view and stay in the house.

Cherokee Creek location
The neighbor was super friendly and offered to help with anything we needed, he made us feel welcome. Short distance from several boat ramps along the little river GA section of the lake. Lots of bait stores around the area for fishing.

Peaceful getaway on the Lake
Great place! It was as advertised and very clean. Quite getaway for my wife and I. I would recommend for couples wanting to get away for a week or weekend.

Quiet Getaway
The owners were so kind and flexible with our changing plans. They really went the extra mile to accommodate us. This is a beautiful, quiet getaway. House is clean and remodeled beautifully. Would recommend bringing coffee and toiletries with you as the nearest store is a little bit of a drive. Perfect for pets and boating, fishing, or just sitting on the deck and reading.

Lake-side get-away
This property has a hot water issue. Had to turn on both the kitchen faucet and the bathroom faucet to get any hot water. Thinking this might be a pressure issue since the cabin had a tankless water heater. And the shower door won’t stay closed. If the owners fix those two issues, this will be a great, small get-away. Location on the lake is very nice. Dirt road leading to the cabin is somewhat of a challenge.

Tankless water heaters unfortunately take longer before the water is hot - but once it is - it stays hot for nice long showers. Thanks for letting us know about the shower door - this is the 1st we heard - and we will be sure to fix it.

Awesome place for boating on the lake
My wife and I stayed here for a week with our boat. The house was clean and cozy with a great view of the lake. The dock is covered and easy to get the boat in and out. We launched at Double Branches which is right around corner. The driveway is a bit tight to back into with the trailer, so just be ready for some maneuvering. The host was very responsive with any questions we had. Neighbors were friendly and quiet.

Great getaway for couples!
The house was just as it was advertised. Very roomy for a one bedroom. The kitchen was beautiful and the king size bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in back porch every morning and late in the evening. The owners were very easy to work with. We will be back!

Great place.
The only complaint I had was that the dryer needed attention. It took forever to dry clothes. But overall it was great. Bed was comfortable, view was amazing. The air conditioner had a problem, but they immediately came and changed it out for a new one. I would stay again.

Bass Fishing
Our son is leaving for boot camp in Missouri May 10, so he asked if we could go on one last bass fishing trip before he left. We picked Clark’s Hill. This cabin had everything we needed. We left our boat at the dock under the roof protected from the elements the 5 nights we were there. Felt safe and secure in doing so. There is a boat ramp about 4 miles from the house. The house cooled well with the AC. The gas grill was nice, and the house was the perfect size. The kitchen was very nice. If we were to return to this lake we would definitely stay here again. Shower has good water pressure King size bed Beautiful views from the screened porch Nice new washer/dryer Gas grill Boat dock Power at boat dock Nice kitchen and appliances Bass were biting!n

Fantastic little cottage on the lake
We were looking for a place on a lake to get away for the weekend and this place was perfect. The owners have updated all the appliances, remodeled the inside and the view is amazing. We spent a lot of time on the back porch enjoying the lake. It is definitely out of the way, quiet and peaceful. One thing to point out is that it is about a mile down a well maintained unpaved road and you are quite a ways from the nearest town so stock up on supplies.

Check your access info first! Great sunsets and location
Communicate directly with Drew and Christine before your stay! We only looked at VRBO and were locked out the first night. Drew was great and gave us that night for free when we talked the next day. Minor error and it was fixed. The neighbors have no association with this property and prefer not to be bothered. When we went asking for help and they made that very clear. The cabin is recently renovated with a beautiful kitchen and spacious bedroom. It’s a great couples get away location. Augusta is close by for shopping needs. The neighborhood had lots of (friendly) dogs.

34th Wedding Anniversary Trip
We enjoyed our stay here. It was a rocky start though! When we arrived, the house smelled horrible and it was about 95 degrees in there! I discovered the source of the smell. The housekeeper hadn't turned the gas burners off and the gas was leaking. Yikes! We opened all the windows and turned on the ceiling fan (which needs to be replaced as it makes an awful racket). Once the smell was gone and the 2 window units were running, it was quite cool and comfortable. The house is small, but perfect for 2. It is nicely decorated and the bed is comfortable. The neighbors are close by, but not intrusive at all. In fact, we met them and they were quite nice. The view is beautiful and the lake is too! We rented a pontoon and had lots of fun on the water. The only other problem was no propane for the grill and no code for the shed that houses the washing machine, but I didn't call Christine about it, so no harm, no foul. I would definitely recommend this property. It is quite peaceful.

RE: code to washer and dryer is the same as the house code RE: gas for the grill - the grill is connected to the main propane tank ( it does not have a canister as you would typically see)

Beautiful, secluded hideaway, perfect for fishermen.
When we arrived, the bed had been slept in and there was some additional cleaning to be done. The property manager was very helpful, evidently there was a mixup. There were additional linens on hand, and we are being reimbursed for the cleaning fee. The washer and dryer are in the shed but worked very well. It was heavy pollen season in Georgia, but we got that cleaned up quickly. The dock was very nice, but had come loose in a storm and hadn't been restored yet so we were unable to fish. We were wishing we had brought a boat as the big water was certainly appealing, lots of fishermen out on the water. The cell and tv signals are weak in this area so knowledge of a Smart TV would be helpful. It took me a couple of days on my laptop but I did figure it out. As you can probably tell from my review, we are older and not quite as up on new things. 😁 The floors are beautiful, the furnishings are very nice, the stove is awesome, the deck is screened in with a beautiful table set. If you like to cook, you may want to bring any special cooking equipment that you like to use. Overall it is a perfectly beautiful, secluded, well furnished little cabin in the woods. The property manager was quickly responsive with any issues that came up. We would definitely go back, we do love to fish, and next time we would bring a boat!

Lake Adventure
Property was lovely! Recently remodeled and everything state of the art - granite counters, Maytag appliances, etc. Very tastefully decorated. Fabulous view! Only suggestion I have is to add a couple shelves above the toilet as bathroom tiny and no vanity for toiletries, etc. Door hooks would also come in handy to hang towels, coats, etc. We purchased a toaster for the house as it was listed but missing on our arrival. Would love to come back!!

Wonderful Place to Stay!!!
This house was the best!! We really enjoyed everything about it. Very clean, well stocked,just a lovely time we had there. We will be back. The walk to the dock was easy and the dock was easy to get in and out of. Loved it so much.

Very Clean and Cozy!
Our stay was great overall. Upon arriving, check in was simple with a keypad entry. The pictures do not do the cabin justice- for two people the space is roomy. The screened porch had ample room. Something notable was that there was probably a third of a paper towel roll left in the kitchen, which ran out in no time with no replacements in sight. The space did seem to be a little sparse in terms of the extras that keep visitors from having to drive the back into town for small things. We recommend the rental for style and location.

GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY ..
VERY GOOD PLACE TO REST AND RELAX...WILL PLAN TO GO AND STAY AGAIN...CAUGHT 20 CATFISH OFF THE DOCK...YUM YUM. THE CABIN IS ON A GREAT PART OF THE LAKE ALSO...GREAT VIEW AND WAS NICE SITTING ON THE SCREENED IN POURCH AS THE SUN WENT DOWN AND HAVING A COLD DRINK TO SIP ON :-)
