Family vacation

Relaxing vacation

When I checked in with everyone on arrival times and you said 6pm I assumed it would be alright to send codes after 4pm as you didn’t need them to check in. Back for more!
This was our second stay at Kirsten and Michael's house, and we're already planning our third. It's in a great, very quiet neighborhood in La Quinta Cove, with a lovely walking/biking route, those glorious mountains, and Indian Wells Tennis Garden not far away. I really like that it's a regular neighborhood, not a gated community. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the pool and spa are well maintained. It can handle 6 people just fine, but the seating in the eating area and living room is really ideal for 4. But we had 6 for part of our last stay, and it worked well. A short drive away is "old" La Quinta (it's not really old, but it's charming), which has some perfectly fine restaurants, shops, and cafes.

Wonderful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the comfort of the home, high quality linens and towels, loved that robes were provided! We especially enjoyed having our coffee each morning by the pool as the sun came up over the mountain. Kirsten was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The neighborhood is very lovely and quiet and we enjoyed being close to a lovely walking path. I did take 1 star off as although the home was mostly very clean, the walls, doors and cupboard surfaces do need a good cleaning. I would definitely stay here again though when we return to the area.

Fantastic!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The hosts have made so many thoughtful inclusions.... battery chargers, Bluetooth speaker, laundry detergent, toiletries, ziploc bags, etc! Truly, you could show up with a suitcase of clothes and feel like you're staying in a friend's home! We had a slight issue in that the pool pump went out during our stay, but Kirsten and Michael did everything possible to try and remedy the situation as it was a holiday weekend. No worries! We'll be back to enjoy the pool/hot tub with the new pump on our next visit! Our family had a fantastic weekend with our Marine son on his leave....and we hope to return soon! Thank you!!!!

Tranquil Oasis
We had a lovely stay. The location was walking distance to the farmers market and lots of restaurants. It was also very quiet and peaceful. We had no issues at check in or check out. Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed peaceful afternoons soaking in the sun. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kirsten was in contact with us right away to make sure everything went smooth from booking to check in! Highly recommend!

Hi Larry! I wish you’d called or texted as we are always available to assist if you need help with any of the technology in the house or anything else. The TVs are all updated smart TVs with live TV and movie channels in the Spectrum app via live streaming. If it’s new technology for you we’re always happy to help walk you through it. Instructions are also in the welcome book at the house but we understand not everyone is familiar with every kind of device. I feel badly that you spent your entire trip without TV when we could have easily remedied that for you with a quick phone call or text had we known. Hopefully everything else was to your liking. We appreciate you staying with us.🙏🏼

Fun Gals' Vacation
Five mature gals stayed at this property during the Indian Wells BNP Paribas tennis tournament. It was perfect! We only wish we had allowed more time to relax at the house! The beds were very comfortable; the two bathrooms with large showers, double sinks (and heated toilet seats), gave us plenty of space to get ready each day. The kitchen had lots of thoughtful extras most VRBO homes lack: condiments in the fridge; Keurig with coffee pods and sugar; food storage containers and baggies/plastic wrap, and even electric salt/pepper shakers! The salt water jacuzzi heated up in about 20 minutes and was a welcome way to relax after walking all day. One of our gals enjoyed slogging on the trails in the morning. Our hosts were very communicative and welcoming. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Even better than it looks
It looks a little modest, but everything was top drawer! It was lovely, had everything you need to relax, appliances very up to date and everything worked perfectly, nice decor. Can eat in easily or walk to charming Old Town and come home to hot tub and pool. Hosts very available and responsive by text and phone. The 3 of us thought it was definitely an excellent choice for the holidays and hope to return. (They thought of just about everything - the toilet seats alone are worth the trip!) :)

Very nice house with a great location
We all had a great time at the LaQuinta Cove! The location to Old Town was so nice, we could easily walk to town and enjoy all the nice restaurants. We stay at a lot of VRBO's and this place was one of the best. It was very clean, they had a well stocked kitchen, and the beds were very comfortable! Amazing!!!!!
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 boys, we came to get away from the noise of LA and to just relax and pretty much lounge around. It was such a great experience. This was our first time that we rented and I can't even begin to explain how easy Kristen and her husband made the stay. Not even to mention their beautiful home it was soooooo clean and well equipped with all the essentials. We enjoyed the pool it was the perfect size for our family. Check in and check couldn't have been any easier. Just the whole experience was great and we are really happy we choose here for our stay. Now our expectations for other places are going to be really high.

Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood
The whole experience was just wonderful. Kirsten was super responsive and thorough in making sure we knew what to expect. Setting a high bar
This was our first time to rent from a vacation rental property. All round great experience. It might not be fair to expect as good an experience next time. A lovely house
We had a relaxing and comfortable stay at this charming and well-maintained house in "old" La Quinta. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are quality, and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't have time for the pool/spa/TVs because we were all about the tennis in Indian Wells (which is an easy drive away), but it all worked well. Friendly, responsive owners. We'll be back!

Cozy and close to many activities
I really enjoyed my stay in the desert. I was able to easily walk to town for dinner some nights and the kitchen had all the necessities for when I ate at home including fresh lemons from the tree in the yard. Relaxing in the jacuzzi at the end of each day was great… a glass of wine in hand and watching the sun set behind the mountains. Hard to beat! One day I walked the bear creek trail from the house up to the oasis trails at the end of the cove. I highly recommend it! The home is very comfortable and inviting. Always a plus to arrive and find a good supply of coffee. Thank you!

Perfect getaway for fun in the sun
Kristen was the perfect host and available to answer all our questions. We enjoyed the spa time onsite, her recommendations to walk to old town for meals & bike rentals, great tv for movie night every night, and proximity to Joshua Tree for rock climbing & hiking. Highly recommend

Just kinda "dirty".
The hosts were very accessible by phone, answered questions promptly and politely. They communicated well. The pool was not working but they quickly sent someone to fix it on a Holiday. The property was just dirty, dusty and didn't have the pampering feel the property description provided. Dust hanging from door jams, a shoe left from a previous vacationer, sticky table, and a very worn appearance. Carpents, blinds, etc.

We’re so sorry the house didn’t meet your expectations Jill. Sometimes in the desert winds it’s hard to keep the pool clean but we really did try by sending a tech on Thanksgiving Day for you and adding two additional days of pool heat for free on top of what was paid for. I’ll definitely speak with housekeeping about the shoe. The carpets and sofa were just steam cleaned and the blinds are high end wood plantation blinds in most areas that are fairly new so I’m not sure what the fix is there but I am truly sorry the house didn’t meet your expectations.
