My Husband and I booked a room with this hotel for Wednesday and Thursday checking out Friday about a week in advance through Expedia. Worst mistake ever!!! I called Expedia back that Tuesday figuring I would have to cancel letting them know that I just realized I didn't get paid til that Thursday. Expedia guaranteed that it wouldn't be an issue as they had my card information on file and I could pay at check out on Friday. We get to the hotel on Wednesday to check in and couldn't get a room because we didn't have the money up front. We drove 5 hours for nothing. We waisted out time and gas for nothing. However it was not the hotels fault so after we drove back to our stomping grounds we ended up getting a hotel as the owner at Paradise Shores in Holcombe WI had a little faith in humanity so the next day, now that I had the money on my card, we decided to go back to Michigan and got a room at the same hotel. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff were amazing. If you're in the area We highly recommend going to the AmericInn Wyndham Hotel in Ironwood Michigan but if You value You're time and money, steer clear of booking through Expedia...

Encore tres bien mais la qualité est en baisse
L hotel est tres correct, propre, les employés sympathiques. mais le petit déj n'est plus ce qu'il était. Peu de choix. Pas de pain, que des bagels ou des gauffres. Les hamburgers petit déj sont tous les jours identiques. Donc pendant une semaine, 1 semaine oeuf saussages dans un "croissant" industriel surgelé, réchauffé. Pas top du tout. De plus, comme dans la plupart des hotels us, le nettoyage de la chambre ne se fait q'en fin de séjour. A vous de faire votre lit tous les jours. A ce prix là , c'est vraiment dommage.

The pillows were rock hard. The room smelled of stinky dogs. The towels felt damp and wet. The heat kicked on every 20 minutes and was loud. The breakfast was all prepackaged garbage. The area for dogs to go to the bathroom had no poo bags, we noticed people letting their dogs poo and no one picked it up due to the lack of bags and this led to the area being filled with poop. I would not stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I apologize that you did not have a better expierence while staying with us. We take great pride in our hotel and these are not normal occurrences. I just went and filled the poop bags so that will not be a issue going forward and I will talk to my staff to be sure we are all checking that is not empty. I hope you will give us another opportunity on a future stay.

Comfortable and Clean
Check-in was seamless. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a room at end of hallway next to ice machine, vending machines, laundry and exit door. We did not hear a thing the whole night.

Quiet, clean and comfortable
Like the title says, the hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. The girl at the check in desk was great, had a good sense of humour. Was a great way to end the day after an 8 hour drive from Winnipeg. :) Breakfast choices were a little bit better than comparably-priced hotels I've stayed at in the past. Would absolutely stay here again.

The BEST place to stay in Ironwood, MI!
Lauren helped us with our check in. She was extremely kind and let us check in early. She then took the time to tell us the best waterfalls to view in the area. We were so grateful for her. On our final day, we requested a late checkout so that we would be able to shower before our 6 hours drive home, after we returned to our room from riding the trails. Kay allowed us to check out late with no questions asked! We will definitely be back!

Breakfast was ok, limited. Wife loved the waffles. No elevator was a disappointment. Not worth the high price for a night.

We have stayed here in the past and the breakfast options have changed. There are not a lot of choices right now. However, the breakfast sandwiches were great. The staff and check in was great! The breakfast seating is wonderful. The room was nice and everything felt clean. We enjoyed the walking trail along side and behind the Inn. I did not like the foam pillows. They were not comfortable. I thought the bed would be comfortable but as a tummy sleeper it slept better on my back. The hangers in the closet have those small hanger heads and could not be used to hang our swim wear in the bathroom to dry.

The AC and heater worked well. In spite of being full it was ver quiet. Professional staff.

The staff members on duty on check-in and check-out were very pleasant and inviting. However, the room seemed clean but had a very musty smell. A dehumidifier was running in the room when we got there but it was too noisy to keep on when trying to sleep. Fortunately the a/c was quiet and worked well. The breakfast offering was disappointing…wrapped sandwiches were less than expected at almost $200/night. We drove all over the area to find a restaurant for dinner and ended up at McDonalds. The quality of the hotel is more in the $100-$125/night range. Room size was good…some discoloration in the bathroom grout.

The room was very nicely decorated, the furniture, carpet, drapes, bathroom all looks new. Clean. Pet friendly is why we picked this hotel. We discovered a nice walking path behind the tree line in back of the hotel.

Great hotel
Love this hotel! Pool is fun, breakfast is great, and they allow dogs! We’ve stayed here a lot over the years. They should give a discount for “frequent flyers.” ;)

The clerk messed up on the payments. I reserved 4 rooms. But she could not understand hoe to charge them to the couples that were staying in the rooms. She wanted me to pay for all of them since I rerseved them.

Great location, clean and free breakfast. My only complaint is our AC didn’t seem to be working properly. It was a little warm in our room but nothing we couldn’t live with. Didn’t like that they don’t have an elevator and didn’t ask if anyone had mobility issues before assigning our room.
