«Booked the hotel in the afternoon online, arrived at 19.00 - nobody there. Reception closed and all dark! Eventually discovered a note with a phone no to call in "emergency" - suprise - answeringmachine! Then tried next phone no and a very surprised persons answered and it took her at least 30 minutes to arrive. The restaurant was closed Mondays and Tuesdays, we had to head out in the dark to find somewhere to eat dinner. Was advised there had been an "staff emergency" that afternoon... However ...

«Loved our stay here. It’s a quiet and serene location. Room is clean and comfortable. Plenty of wood for the fireplace . Large wide verandah to enjoy the tranquility. Walked to circa 1876 restaurant only 5 mins away. »

«Wonderful lodge in the middle of the Hunter Valley wine district. Our suite had a huge balcony which was looking out on the grapevines. It also has a great Italian resto and you can get take away to your room. It's very well located for everything in the Hunter Valley region.»

«All was wonderful except the non flexible check in. We had an event to get to and even though the host was on site for an hour prior to our check-in time they wouldn’t let us in until 1pm sharp which was when our event started. Otherwise a beautiful location with kangaroos visiting near our verandah. »
