To start out, the young lady at the desk was very nice. After that, not so much. Since we made our reservations on Hotels.com we could not cancel.
My wife and I were looking to relax and have a swim in the pool and hot tub. Upon arriving we were told that the pool was closed and the hot tub did not exist (there is a picture on the Hotels site). We wanted to cancel, but we couldn't.
I needed to leave a credit card on file for "incedentals". Later that night I got a notice from my credit card that I had been charged $95.00 for the room. I had already paid on Hotels.com, yet I was charged again. I spoke to the young lady at the desk, she assured me that it would be removed the next day. The next morning I asked again, a different young lady (polite) told me she would take care of it and call me after she talked to the manager. No call, and now I am on my third day talking to the front desk. The charge was finally removed, 4 days later. I don't give bad reviews normally, but it must have been the "perfect storm".
Disappointed,
Scott
