Traditional style in Saigon
We picked the Grand Hotel Saigon because We are partial to traditional style hotels with soul - and this was a lucky pick; from checking in and beeing upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite in the original old part of the hotel with direct access to the pool area, We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the hotel.
A truely grand breakfast with any taste you might to the calm oasis of the Grand cafe at the 20th floor roof top. And the staff made theirbest to accommodate our every wish.

The hotel is in an area close to many of the towns attractions. Breakfast had very good food. The room was a bit old-fashioned but the bed was 1. class. Average service.

Nice hotel centrally located in District 1
Nice and modernized hotel with central location in District 1. You have walking distance to some of the tourist sites and shopping malls. Just a block away from the river and Union Square. Otherwise a taxi ride of approx 40-50.000 VND e.g. to the War Museum. Taxi to the airport is approx 140-150.000 VND. The hotel is nice and clean. Be sure to try out their roof top bar with great views of the river and Bitexco building (tallest in Saigon). We also enjoyed their nice (but small) pool area before departure with very cozy garden surroundings. Breakfast is good. Same goes for Wi-Fi with good speeds 24/7. The room was a bit small but ok. It has all the amenities you need.
All in all a very nice stay in this hotel which is among the oldest in Saigon. Perfect for business and leisure travelers. Would not mind staying here again.

Everyone in this hotel where very nice and good people, only one person in front desk need to reminded that this is 5 star hotel and people staying their they are not worry for few dollars at the checkout. His name was Harry and look like he was working for big accounting firm like Kpmg. I told hem 5 times just charme for the little bottle of we took the more expensive one instead of waiting for some one going to the room to check out. Also you need to hire a good cook, food was not 5 star hotel. Thanks

The manager at breakfast on 29 and 30 Jan was rude, He stopped me from taking my juice to finish in my room and made me leave it on the table on the way out. He was shaking and pointing his finger and both myself and other guests got the impression I was a criminal stealing juice--how embarrassing and unprofessional..I was never informed of any rule like this.He needs behavioural elocution on how to treat guests.As a lawyer I am accustomed to better respect
