Herkenbosch G&CC

I stayed here from July 30th to August 3rd 2016 in a single room. I think I'll start with the bad before I move on to the good. The restaurant was neither cheap or expensive in terms of price. I decided to eat in the city instead. Furthermore, my room was cleaned only every other day. I wish they cleaned it every day instead. This is just my preference however. Now on the good things. The staff there are very helpful and energetic. I came at the middle of the night, but the staff were welcoming despite the late hours. My room was at the fourth floor in the rail house. It was clean, just the right size and had a comfortable bed plus a sleek bathroom. The internet access was great plus that the TV had Dutch, British as well as French TV channels. The hotel was nearly next door to the railway and tram station. This made travelling to the city center or Schipol quite easy. Despite the central location, is was rather quiet. This hotel is definitely for those who want to enjoy Amsterdam, but can't afford fancy hotels. It has quite a lot of character in contrast to some chain hotels I have visited.
