Fin beligenhet ved flott strand. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale. Rent og pent både inne på hotellet og ved bassenget.

Bra service. Ok rent, men bærer preg av at det er gammelt og slitt. Beliggenheten perfekt i forhold til stranden og kun 10 min unna nærmeste byen med taxi. Vi bestilte egentlig vanlig hotellrom, men ble oppgradert til studioleilighet. Det var jo bra med bedre rom, men vi hadde bestilt king size seng og fikk queen size så det var litt dumt. Uteområdet helt ok. Cafeen/baren som var på området imponerte ikke da maten var dårlig.

Flott hotell med god service. Vi fikk oppgradert vårt hotellrom til en premier suite som inneholdt alt en kunne drømme om for en rimelig penge. Ligger en liten spasertur fra restaurantene og butikkene, men shuttlebusser går hele tiden uansett. Flotte snorkle-muligheter rett utenfor hotellet. Anbefales som utgangspunkt for en flott tur til Maui.

Et helt OK sted (men langt fra så flott som det fremstilles på hotellets internettsider). Ligger greit plassert ved stranden. Vær obs på at det er få rom/leiligheter som har fin havutsikt. Beskrivelsen til hotels.com mht hvilke romtyper som har sjøutsikt er villedende. Jeg måtte klage på den leiligheten vi fikk tildelt ift dette med havutsikt. Da ble jeg forklart av hotellet at hotels.com gav villedende informasjon på dette området. De ryddet allikevel opp og flyttet oss til en leilighet i 5 etg. med sjøutsikt etter en dag. Så ta en dobbeltsjekk på hotellets internettsider ift hvilke rom som har utsikt til sjøen!

We only stayed for a few days, but every part of our stay was perfect! The employees were friendly and helpful- often meeting needs before we even knew we had them. Our room was large with a comfortable king sized bed. The Castaway Cafe was quaint and affordable. Like everything else at the resort, it was open air- adding to the island vibe. The beach was beautiful and actually not very populated. It is easy to walk to Whaler’s Village for shopping and more restaurants or you can take the trolley, which is always a nice experience. We will definitely be back!

I loved this place! Had the perfect room which was a premium studio with kitchen. Had the most amazing view of the ocean. Staff was amazing. Pool was heated. The air conditioning worked and kept the room cool. No issues. Everything worked well. Bed was cozy.

Hi i'd like to start off by saying i've been here 5 times and this time was the worst, a lot of stuff was broken including our shower head and we got it "fixed" which did not fix anything, we requested two beds but still got one and then were refused a change. the employees were unpleasant and just were in a foul mood honestly all around wherever we went. House cleaning is not a thing here, neither is room service or towels/ toiletries. A plus is that they told us our AC wouldn't work but it did. Restaurant on the property closes pretty early. Over all wouldn't spend money to spend here, it's a little bit cheaper than other places but honelsty not worth it.

Very lovely property and makes a great improvement in terms of upgrading furniture. Truly appreciated vibes and warmth of staying there. Plus one of the best beaches in just a couple minutes away. What you have to dream of? Certainly recommend this place for any type of travelers even with kids.

We were pleasantly surprised by this property. We were only in Maui for a couple of days so we decided to get the least expensive room we could find and expected to be a bit disappointed. Boy was I wrong. Our room was huge and updated with a full kitchen . We didn't have a view of the ocean but that didn't matter as the property is beautiful and it is a easy walk to the beach where the largest turtle I have ever seen came right out of the water in front of us. Our stay was magical and I can't see use going anywhere else. We will definitely be back. I believe that all units are privately owned and am sure some are more updated than others. All the staff were friendly and inviting.

We received an upgrade upon arrival. The AC was not in service (laundry also not available) due to a fire in January. Since it was late February and the owner of our unit had several fans available, it was not much of an issue. The front desk also gave us an additional fan. This was a unit featuring two full bathrooms, a comfortable loft bedroom, a living room/dinning room, full kitchen, and large balcony with table and four chairs which has a great view. The place seemed very safe. The Castaway restaurant had good food for breakfast and lunch. The two pools with hot tubs where very clean and heated just enough for comfortable swimming. There is a beach and also a beach park basically minutes next door (easily walkable. The beach park had a really great snorkeling reef literally 25 feet from the water's edge, with many colorful varieties of fish. Cleaning staff came every third day and vacuumed, made up the bed, emptied garbage as needed, and changed out towels. I would recommend Aston Kaanapali Villas highly and would strongly consider a return visit.

Facility and service falling apart
A very underwhelming experience. A property whose glory days are behind it. We got a message a few days in advance that the air conditioning will be out of order until June. Not a big deal, but it left a sour taste that the attendant in check-in told us "I just heard that the air conditioniong in your room is out of order". Later we found out that also the laundry room and the gym were out of order as they had experienced a fire of the electricity system. Lack of transperency is disappointing. We stayed 4 nights, and were told there would be cleaning service only every 3 days. After 3 nights the room was not done. I asked about it and the attendant promised to have it done. No-one ever came and no-one ever said anything about it. When I checked out I mentioned it and the answer was literally a shrug. No-one seems to care about anything. I´ve been trying to think of something positive to say. Let´s go with that the butterfish in the restaurant was tasty.

Upon arriving at the hotel that we had selected based on it having air conditioning, we were told that they recently had a fire in their utility room rendering the building AC inoperative, in addition to needing to close their fitness and laundry facilities, and it would remain so for the duration of our stay and likely for many more months after. Although we were given a fan to try and help, most of our nights were sleepless in addition to experiencing discomfort during the day as we were not able to cool the room sufficiently with the fan. We had requested some compensation or additional action, but all we received was a token discount of $11on the daily resort fee versus a room fee many times that. We expressed our displeasure and were told that it would be taken up with hotel management and heard nothing further, even after subsequent requests. Resort support staff were friendly and helpful, but it quickly became apparent that management was more focused on their ownership than the satisfaction of their guests. We will not be back.

Parking was always tough when we returned in the evening from some outing. Worse thing is that the front desk was told by the "trolley" company that this hotel was not included in the route for two days due to the painting of a gate. Why didn't they come out and tell us this truth while we sat and waited for the trolley. Sad...
