It was my first visit to Nova Scotia and it was off to a terrible start with the hotel. When making the reservations, I had made a mistake and only booked the one night. I had to book the second night seperate. I had called the hotel and was told that this would not be an issue, let them know upon arrival. I told the lady at the front desk and she said there were no notes in the system and we would have to check out and check back in later that day. I was then informed that parking was not included with the hotel and despite the fact it was advertised as breakfast included, it was not and breakfast was $21 a person. When we got to our room, we discovered the heater was not working and the elevator had been broken. We had to carry our bags up and down stairs.
The next morning, I decided to go to the front desk to see if I could talk to a manager about staying in our room. The gentleman at the desk had seen the double check in and had already made the arrangements to keep us in our room. He was very helpful and that made it a bit better. However, upon returning to our room after a day of excursions, our room had not been cleaned. I had to call to order towels. The room was never cleaned.
I was very disappointed with the hotel.
