Location is convenient and the staff were great. The property is showing wear and tear and could use some sprucing up. There are some blatant examples of this one being a broken cigarette receptacle sitting on the back patio.

Conveniently located of I-20 with fast food and gas nearby. Easy ride to Madison for shopping and Greensboro for a play put on by the community theater. Staff was attentive and accomodating. Good hot breakfast included. For a rather new facility we were surprised our window was practically destroyed and hard to manage.

A totally negative experience!!
We were unable to check in after two phone calls enroute and at the hotel upon arrival. The check-in cleark said they had no record of our reservation and had absolutely no record of us in their system. Three tries to resolve the issue with Hotels.com by phone were unsuccessful since the automated system just kept asking us to re-enter the details of our stay. This all resulted in us making a three and a half hour return home very disappointed with both the hotel and Hotels.com. We expect a full refund of our money ASAP. We have filed a dispute of charges with our credit card company as a result of a very disappointing experience.

Dishonest, poorly maintained, AVOID if possible.
After shopping for a pet-friendly hotel, we chose this Tru hotel based on rate, reputation, newness, etc. Upon check-in they charged me an additional $50 as a pet fee! That was not disclose upon booking and should have been included in the "pet friendly" rate. There was no choice late in the day to find something else. This is dishonest behavior. Additionally, the place was surprisingly unclean and poorly maintained for a new hotel. My desk chair was broken and when I asked for it to be replaced they actually asked me to bring it down! There are no glass or even plastic cups to have a glass of wine - only waxy paper cups. Cheap ice bucket with no lid, leaking shower, a "floor chime" on the elevators that sound like a fire alarm going off every time you pass a floor. The list goes on and on. AVOID AT ALL COST.

this is a new hotel, pretty nice. they need to put a mat in the shower as I almost fell. There was a puddle outside also when I got out. We stayed in room 208. There was a big bussing sound maybe from the airconditioner but it as really loud. We would of asked to change rooms but it was midnight when we turned the tv off so we dealt with it.
