OK hotel, terrible people at reception desk
It was a decent place. Not really a 5 star hotel, more like 4 The main disappointment was the personell at the reception. They were not friendly at all! Since I am a Gold member and entitled to upgrade (when available) and late check-out. I asked about it and just got an abrubt NO! without explanation. When I wrote a disappointed review about the check-in, the manager immediately wrote me back and offered an upgrade to another room. However, at that time I had seen the rooms and not much difference, except much more wind on the balcony so I turned it down. When I later tried to ask about late check-out since our plane left in the evening I was told to come back to them in the morning of the last day. They then said no, I had to be out by 11 am. When I went back to my room to pack, a lady came to my door and said, no problem, I could stay until 6 pm. THEN 20 minutes later they called from the reception and asked why I haven´t checked out. They actually told me I was lying about the lady at the door - INCREDIBLE!

Both upgrades as well as late check outs are subject to availability and it's this very manager writing these lines that granted you access to our Executive wing for free in order for you to be able to join your acquaintances that stayed there, not because of anything else but because that seemed to be the actual problem which tangled the whole story around it. And yes we look forward to welcome you again at the Panorama on another occassion.

Familieferie en uke i juli/aug 2018
På vår tredje tur til Kreta valgte vi å prøve all inclusive på dette hotellet. Maten var en positiv opplevelse, og nytt mat-"tema" hver dag hele uka, gjorde at vi ikke gikk lei hotellmaten. All Inclusive inkluderer foruten alle tre måltider, også øl, vin, drinker, is og snacks(nøtter) Full score for maten. Hotellet var stort sett greit, fint uteområde. Veldig fint basseng. Veldig trang heis. Fikk såvidt plass til en vogn. Rommene var greie, men ikke mer. Airconditionen virket bra, men var ikke lydløs. Sengene var noe nedligget. Hyggelige folk både i resepsjon, restaurant, bar og renhold. Utsikten fra hotellet, bassenget og rombalkongen var veldig flott. Passer til Panorama-navnet. Bakken opp til hotellet var tung å gå når du må pushe feks. en vogn. Stranden nedenfor hotellet var ikke så veldig bra., men med 15 min gange i valgfri retning kommer du til meget bra strender.Dog med noe dårlige og trange fortau noen steder. Ellers var det greit å ta buss i begge retninger da bussen stoppet rett nedenfor hotellet.

Helt ok hotel, litt sur de som jobber der. Smila aldri. Air condition funket ikke på romme, ringte og ringte og masa. Ble aldri fiksa. MYE vind der! Veldig mye!

God mat, god service, helt ok hotell.
Helt ok hotell. Variert og god mat. Veldig dårlig «hotellstrand», men to fine strender ca 30 min. Unna ved rolig gange.Hotellet er litt slitent og det var realitivt ubehagelige senger for vår del ( altfor harde, men folk har jo ulik smak). Med tanke på standard ville jeg nok gitt hotellet 3 stjerner. Treningsrommet var slitent, men med gode apparater, hadde vært enda bedre med fungerende tredemølle( kanskje bare bra da vi løp ute isteden).

Helt OK hotell
Som vi har opplevd så mange ganger før, 5 stjerner i Hellas er langt ifra 5 stjerner ellers i verden. Hotellet var helt greit, sikkert veldig fancy i sin storhetstid (for 15-20 år siden). Bygget og bassengene er godt slitt, og det er tydelig at sparekniven er hyppig i bruk. At de har valgt og kutte ned på belysningen i fellesområdene om dagen for og spare strøm, vitner om elendig prioritering. Resepsjonen og foajeen kunne vært fremstilt på en mye bedre måte om de hadde spandert på seg litt lys! Hotellet kan skryte på seg privat strand. En sannhet med modifikasjoner. Hotellet har en liten gressflekk på andre siden av en sterkt traffikert veg. Der har de satt opp en bar. Selve stranda er offentlig, skitten og av stein. Ikke barnevennlig i det hele tatt. Videre er vegen så nærme at man ender opp midt imellom lyden av bølgesus og trafikkstøy. Har lest anmeldelser om hotellet der personalet er blitt kritisert for og være sure og frekke. Har i mitt stille sinn trodd at det har vært overfølsomme amerikanere på ferie...men nei... Majoriteten av personalet har virkelig et stykke igjen hva gjelder service, høfflighet og vennlighet. Treningsrommet inneholdt reltativt nytt utstyr fra Technogym, men pga elendig/ingen vedlikehold av utstyret var mye ubrukelig. Null ventilasjon på treningsrommet.

Fint og stille hotell.
Fint og rolig hotell med fantastisk god mat.Drinkene som var inkludert var kjedelige.Betjeningen i poolbaren virket slitene og lite service innstilt.Resten av betjeningen var veldig bra.Vi hadde en flott ferie og kan gjerne besøke hotellet igjen ved en senere annldning.Husk badesko til starnden ved hotellet:0)

Frister til gjentagelse
Vi bodde på Panorama en uke i juli 2010, og oppholdet frister til gjentagelse. Gjennomgående hadde vi bare positive opplevelser relatert til "alt" som berørte hotellet, selv om det (selvsagt) alltid vil være noe småtteri som kunne ha vært enda bedre. Flott uteområde med 180 graders sjøutsikt og tiltalende bassengområde!

The service is outstanding. All the staff amke an effort to ensure your stay is of the higest standard. The food is exceptional - uncredible quality and variety. The hotel is strating to look tired. Panorama Blue rooms bathrooms are not of the standatd you'd epect - old baths with old fixtures. Old sunsbdes with different mattresses is another example of lack of investment.

It has the potential but NOT a 5 Star Hotel
Good hotel. Simple hotel. Not a 5 star hotel. Staff was good especially Georgia at the reception. Apart from that, nothing reminds you of a 5 star hotel. A 3 star maybe. We had a nice time because we were in that mood, not because of the hotel. Family room was big but very old. Same everywhere else.

Loved our stay! Staff, rooms and food all amazing. We never return to hotels, but this is one we all agreed we would go back to we loved it that much! Our family of 5 (3A, 2C) booked 2 pool rooms. My husband and I were upgraded to the Executive Wing of the hotel upon check in. Lovely and quiet, but we felt we could not make the most of this as we had to go down to our children's room pool or the main pool to spend time with them. If you are a couple or a family with adult children it would definitely be worth paying the extra for the 'Blue rooms' and as a couple would go back. Rooms and common areas absolutely spotless, cleaning staff so lovely and hard working, as were most of the staff that take pride in the hotel. The food quality was fantastic, credit to the kitchen staff; kiddy corner, show cooking, a daily roast, loads of different salads and of course chocolate fountain at dinner. Thankfully the chips 'were amazing' for our fussy 12 year old. Alcohol, soft drinks and cocktails included were great, no complaints. It would great if melon is also put out at breakfast, and dish allergy cards are completed people with food intolerances or allergies could be unwell. Had to ask staff frequently what a dish contained to be safe. We found that the towel rule, although advertised, was not enforced by staff and we found it impossible to find sunbeds at the main pool in the morning, however by afternoon there are plenty. Book it, you will not be disappointed! We will be back :)

Die Anlage des Hotels war wunderschön. Die Aussicht auf das Meer wirklich atemberaubend!! Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit genügend Platz. Das Essen war lecker und für jeden ist was dabei. Für Unterhaltung sorgt das Hotel am Abend. Alle 20 min geht ein Bus nach Chania (15min Fahrt) auf dem Weg gibt es jeweils Ausstiegmöglichkeiten für den Strand. Das Ticket kostet 1,50€ ;) Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

Siisti hotelli, jossa upeat maisemat etenkin auringonlaskun aikaan. Ruoka oli monipuolista ja all inclusivessa sai kerran viikon aikana ruokailla a la cartessa. Ääretön uima-allas oli upea. Huone oli siisti ja se siivottiin hyvin joka päivä. Ilmastointi toimi erinomaisesti. Huoneessa myös ilmainen tallelokero ainakin all inclusive vieraille. Ohjattua ohjelmaa oli melko niukasti päivällä. Vesijumppa kesti n. 15 min, olisi jaksanut pidempäänkin. Iltaohjelmiin olisi voitu myös panostaa enemmän. Yhtenäkin iltana vain soitettiin kaiuttimesta musiikkia, ei muuta. Hyvä tietää myös, että huoneessa on tullessa pari vesipulloa. Vettä ei kuitenkaan tuotu loman aikan lisää, joten kaupassa täytyy käydä jos huoneeseen haluaa sitten lisää vettä.

Une belle étape pour l'ouest de la Crète
L'hôtel en lui même est bien mais ce n'est pas un 5* plutôt un 3*. La vue panoramique sur la mer est magnifique. L'environnement est agréable. Le gros bémol est que cet hôtel reçoit essentiellement des scandinaves (Suédois, Danois, Allemands, ...) et pas ou très peu de Français, et la nourriture (en 1/2 pension) pour nous, Français, est très moyenne. Il n'y a que très peu de spécialités grecques et crétoises en dehors de la salade grecque à composer soi même. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est bien. Heureusement que nous étions en 1/2 pension car manger midi et soir le même type de menu deviendrait très lassant. Mention spéciale à Betty (du restaurant) pour son accueil ! Malgré tout séjour agréable ! Je pense que 3-4 jours sur place est un maximum.

"Viiden tähden" hotelliksi huoneet ja puitteet osin hieman elähtäneet, mutta palvelu hyvää ja ystävällistä. All inclusiven ruokatarjonta ihan hyvää ja maukasta, tosin välipalojen puutteesta hieman miinusta, koska ruokailujen välissä aina pakostakin useamman tunnin tauko. Sijainti on hyvä, Haniaan menevän bussin päätepysäkki hotellin vieressä, ja hyvälle & isolle Kato Staloksen hiekkarannalle noin 10 minuutin kävelymatka. Hotellin oma ranta hieman kivinen, mutta hyvin siitäkin uimaan pääsee. Ehkä sellainen 3-4 tähden kokemus, joka osui odotuksiin riittävän hyvin.

Good things: -View to the ocean from the room balcony -Pool area is amazing, good views to the ocean, enough sunbeds. Staff shared Water bottles in the morning. -Rooms are clean and basic good, would need a little touch up thought. -Some of the staff were really nice, polite and fun. Always saying good morning etc. -We got blankets when we asked -Birthday cake on behalf of the hotel without asking. -Breakfast outside, so u could watch the sunrise. -Buss stop right next to the hotel to go to Hania or Platanias. -Little beach side right nexto with few sunbeds. Beach thought was quite rocky. Bad things: -Our Room was ”family room” so we had door which went straight to the next room. Door looked liked someone had stabbed it from the other room. Next room stayers heard our talking and we heard them very clear. The door didn’t have good locks in them. -Pool was really cold. Maybe not heated cause the low season? We were at the end of september. -There wasnt signs at the lobby if the breakfast wasnt outside. -Some of the staff wasnt so relaxed.

We choose this hotel 5 star to get the best in Crete as from the website looks fabulous but once you are there you will realise that for what you pay is to expensive that what you receive !!!! Very poor service at the pool bar , and the main bar, very poor an cheap spirits , wine and drink are “free” for who got the all inclusive , also the cocktail were disgusting!!!! Bartender with no knowledge! Couple of times in the pool bar I ask for a cocktail and the guy didn’t even washed the shaker and he use the melted ice from the previous cocktail to make mine, tasting not right and I had to ask for something else, another time we ask for the coffee from the proper machine (cause the good coffee you had to PAY otherwise you got the disgusting coffee from a machine that trust me not even in the worse bar ever they will serve that !!! ) and the guy took in front of me a dirty cup and he washed under the water without any soap , that’s really unacceptable!!!!!! Health and safety dosent exists!!!! Regarding the food the restaurant that you can go 1 a week is really good but no option for the wine you only can choose the house , during the day you have big buffet which is ok no so amazing … meat is good vegetables and fruits are good but, fish plates are not that good , very dry and not tasty at all !!!! About the entertainment for the morning you have acqua gym, and we like it , but then in the evening you got some live music that only if you are age 75 you can like .

Ett stort bra hotell med bra service. Underbar utsikt över havet och in mot Chania. Vi åt bara frukost på hotellet och tyckte den var riktigt bra. Stor och fin lobby. Rummet helt okej, ljust och fin balkong mot havet om man bokar med det. Enkelt att ta bussen in till Chania då den går precis nedanför hotellet. Poolområdet jättebra och stort. Vi var jätte nöjda med allt.

Siisti, hyvä hotelli, ihana allasalue. Meri ja bussipysäkki vieressä. Ainoa miinus hotellissa oli sateen sattuessa ruokailun siirtyminen kellarikerroksessa sijaitsevaan kokoustilaan. Tulo- ja lähtöpäivänä joustava palvelu, vaikka huonetta ei ollutkaan käytössä.

The place is quite outdated, definitely far from five stars, needs some overhaul. Food is decent, so is cleaning service. Unfortunately the restaurants staff wasn’t so friendly and cooperative. Views are beautiful. No entertainment for the children whatsoever. Game room where the kids club was supposed to take place was empty and smelled of cigarettes. And this hotel is supposed to be smoke-free, which is totally not true.

Deluxe huoneet altaalla hieman harhaanjohtavia.
Hotellin henkilökunta oli hyvin ystävällistä. Maisemat altaalta ja ravintolasta todella hienot. Deluxe huoneisiin oli rakennettu uusi yhteinen uima-allas jälkikäteen ja näitä altaita ei näy missään kuvissa/tiedoissa (google mapissa). Oma allas oli kyllä mukava lisä matkalle mutta 1. kerroksen deluxe huoneet eivät sisältäneet exlusive 2.-3. kerroksen palveluihin jotka näkyy kuvissa. Huoneet kyllä olivat siistit mutta ei aivan 5 tähden tasoa ja huoneissa ei ollut äänieristystä oikeastaan yhtään. Hyvää ruokaa, palvelua ja kattava all inclusive lista, sekä loistavat maisemat (kuten kuvista näkyy vastasi sitä mitä odotti). Bussilla helposti mm. Haniaan.

Not worthy of its 5-star class rating
I’m surprised with the 5-star class rating of this hotel. This is a 2-star or 3-star hotel at best. Service people are neither friendly nor accommodating. Check-in was a hassle wherein the guest has to input their details themselves (I’ve never had a 5-star hotel do this). Amenities and furniture needs updating too — everything feels old and cheap. The tables, the hot water boiler, the hangers, the railings… even the pool had pieces of tiles missing. The whole place feels neglected. The elevator was also super slow and ‘ancient’ that you’ll see a lot of people using the stairs instead. It’s definitely not worth the price! The only acceptable thing is the breakfast which was decent enough to have with various selections.
