Enjoying Dublin
Small, but nice rooms. Perfect location for shopping, nightlife, sightseeing and just enjoying the city. Colorful drinks in the bar downstairs and party time on the top floor 👍

Kult hotell med kort avstand til alt.
Hotellet er kult, god mat og bra service. Hotellet ligger i et nattklubbområde og det var høy musikk som gjorde det vanskelig å sovne før 3 (hvis man ikke bruker øreplugger). Ellers er beliggenheten perfekt. Det er gangavstand til alt og kollektiv til/fra flyplassen rett rundt hjørnet

Fantastisk hotell, platespiller og alt man forøvrig måtte ha behov for på rommet. Noe støy, men det var opplyst om det på forhånd. Glimrende utsikt fra restauranten på toppen!

Hotell litt utenom det vanlige!
Artig hotellopplevelse. Stort rom med platespiller og forsterker. Fin bar og restaurant i toppetasjen med utsyn over Dublin. Hyggelig betjening. Rask vei til severdigheter, shopping og restauranter. Kan anbefales!

Bråkete hotell med mye fest! Eller god standard
Lå midt i et festområde. Det var høylytt musikk selv på en tirsdag og onsdag hele natten! Og fest på flere hotellrom som var høylytt. Dårlig isolerte rom. Hoteller var tydelig allerede klar over situasjonen da det lå gratis ørepropper på nattbordet når man kom. Ellers var det hyggelig service, kult hotellrom og god mat i restauranten. Passer kanskje bedre for de som vil være med på festingen? Og kanskje ikke for de som skal på jobb eller ønsker en avslappende reise.

Great location for going out and dinner and being close to Grafton Street. The restaurant Sophie’s is buzzy with a great view and nice cocktails. The room decor and bathroom were a bit more tired than I expected and the bathroom didn’t feel the cleanest as a result. The location was perfect for the girls trip we had planned and was a great place to stay for one night.

When I made the booking, I specifically opted for a hi-fi room as I wanted a dual city view. When we checked in however, we learnt we had been ‘upgraded’ to a balcony room that did not have the city view we specifically wanted. Staff did look into this but explained we could not have the room that we had paid for as there was no availability. This was very disappointing and although the room we were given was okay, it fell very short of our expectations.

Our staff did all possible to revert the upgrade back to the original room type but we weren't able to make it work on the day. The location its self was in a really busy noisy street ,always dirty glass smashed ,rubbish about ,if you want a relaxing stay dont book the dean hotel ,you cant sleep taxi s peeping till about 2 in the morning .the shower cubicle is postioned in the wrong place so you can fit in and shut the door .

Noisy, loud rooms above a late night club
I’d rather they invested in double glazing and sound proofing than record players. Some of the rooms are directly over a nightclub with a screaming, bellowing dj. If you are happy to be kept awake until at least 2am, then this is the place for you. Very nonchalant attitude of staff, that as a stranger to the city it’s absolutely obvious this is the moodiest place on earth. Totally impractical if you’re in one of the noisy rooms. A real shame.

Disappointing.
Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. Very tired room. Bedding smelled of wet dog. TV remote didn’t work. Shower hardly attached to wall. Staff friendly.

It was a cute, quirky hotel. Restaurant/bar upstairs was beautiful with nice views. Pool and sauna was really nice. Staff were very friendly and very helpful.

Room cleaning: Es wurde 1× aufgeräumt. Fußboden wurde aber nicht gesäubert, Handtücher wurden entfernt aber keine neuen hingelegt. WC-Sitz war locker, Matratze fleckig. Hotel: Im Hotel selber teilweise Wandbilder kaputt, Fahrstuhl zwischendurch defekt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für Hotelartikel und Essen im Restaurant stimmt definitiv nicht. Das Personal war allerdings durchgehend sehr freundlich.

Nous avons écourter le séjour (1 seule nuit ou lieu de 2 initialement réservées) car la fenêtre de notre chambre donnait sur une discothèque ouverte jusqu'à 3 heures du matin. Les boules quies mises gratuitement à disposition ne suffisent pas à masquer le bruit. Impossible de dormir.

Quality hotel with good location
The hotel was comfortable and the staff was helpful. It is also in a convenient location just a short walk to Temple Bar, Camden Street, and other city attractions downtown.

Incredibly incredibly loud property located right on top of a nightclub. You could not sleep—you felt like the nightclub was inside the hotel. They did warn you on the website that it was loud but this was unlike anything else. They switched rooms for us when we complained but the room we were put in was extremely small and much smaller than the one we paid for. In our original room, there was a bunch of peanuts left in a cup.

Leak underneath the bathroom Sink. When flagged it was fixed with some tape. Would encourage a periodic deep clean of rooms. Skirting, ceilings etc to get rid of dust. Great service and great location.

The Dean looked nice, but was a disappointment
The room was much smaller than expected. It was literally impossible to open even one suitcase in the room. The bathroom was disguisting, we found an used condom in the shower and the sink was blocked. We were, however, provided compensation about the incident with a professional manner. There were nice details on the room interior, but I wish some efforts would have been invested in practical settings. The bathroom was so tight that I burned My shoukder to the towel rack, The was no place for jackets, shoes...The door did not properly close if the "do not disturb" sign was on. During the departure Day The housekeeping disturbed us twice. First without any warning, it felt really unconfortable. Second Time at 11 am annoyed : " are you planning to stay over or what!!??" Our checkout was at 12:00. Not comfortable at all as My partneri had a severe toothache. Sophie's was okay for food and drinks with a nice view. Pool was nice bonus! The room had nice big tv. Location was good. However, with the paid price you can find better options. We planned this stay as a highlight fir our holiday but it was not that special in the end. The bartender at townhouse was a lovely person with innovative ideas, that was probably the best memory from here! :)

Sleepless night
I stayed on a Saturday night . 2nd floor . when I opened the room door I thought the Tv was on !! I soon realised I’m right over the bar and music was booming and deafening!! I couldn’t believe it when I saw there were ear plugs beside each locker , I’d no choice but to use these as hotel was full ! At €305 was the most expensive sleepless night I’ve every had in my history of hotels . Never stay there at weekends !!

Good stay
Good stay in The Dean. Location was ok with easy walking or Tram into the city. Good to have bar and restaurant on the top floor. Funky hotel in many aspects with great artwork everywhere! Room good size (Supe Room) and all needed facilities (Kettle, iron, sufficient towels etc) One niggle is luggage left wiht the front desk on check out, loads of guest did it but it was all left in the main reception / bar area, unguarded...suggestion would be to store it securely in their Green Room; like many guests we were nervous leaving it 'in the open'. Thankfully it was all still there on our return, but equally we just took it with no staff on duty to ask if it was ours! Easy to overcome operationally and shouldn't put anyone off staying at the hotel.

Request a room on the quiet side of the hotel and we had two nights of very restful sleep in a clean, attractive and charmingly decorated room. Excellent shower. Very friendly and accommodating staff. If other reviews worry you about the noise level, simply request to be placed away from the club and you won't hear it at all. Would stay here again.

Not recommended for anyone needing to sleep
Even on a Wednesday night the cheesy music from the nightclub next door goes on till 2:30am, they should probably mention this in the description. A YMCA singalong in the open-air smoking area at 2:15am. Earplugs helped but then I slept through my alarm.
