Great hostel experience
Surprisingly comfortable hostel. Stayed in an all female room, which had a private bathroom with shower. Additional toilets and showers for girls just down the hall too Had options of privacy with the curtains in front of my pod; it was large enough for me to sit upright inside - might get a bit noisy, but people are often very respectful in the morning and evening and the hostel also provide free earplugs. Great location on the "cheap" side, close to several food stores, in walking distance to the tourist places on the other side, and not so far away from the airport bus - but still a walk though. I'm not giving five stars because there is a limit to how good a hostel can be in terms of accommodation, and the vacuuming of the floors were sporadic at best (but pods were clean!)

Anbefales!
Absolutt et hostel å anbefale, etter å ha reist til over 50 land, så var dette mitt første opphold på et hostel, Er det slik standard så vil jeg fortsette å bo på hostel. selv med en alder på snart 40år :p Rent, stille og gode pods (senger) God frokostbuffet med godt utvalg. 50 meter å gå til t bane, og flybussen stopper noen få hundre meter unna. Sentralt!!

Exceeds expectations
I had a lovely stay at Jacobs Inn. Definitely one of the prettiest hostels I’ve seen. The pods are genius, and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Great that there are codes on the lockers. Also apprecited the opportunity to leave luggage at the hostel before and after check in/out. Jacobs Inn felt very safe. I would absolutely recommend this place, and I would definitely stay there again. Heads up; Jacobs Inn is currently under renovation but this really is no problem as one usually only stays at the hostel during nighttime.

Fornøyd!
Veldig fornøyd med dette hostellet. Luasen (trikken) og togstasjonen er rett ved siden av. Rent sengetøy, skuffer som kan låses (ta med lås selv). Alle sengene har forheng. Jeg sov på 12-mannsrom (blandet) og synes dette fungerte fint. Det er et bad inne på rommet. Siste kvelden kom det et lass med ungdomsskoleelever på skoletur, så det var litt trangt og bråkete på kvelden og til frokost. Kommer til å bruke Jacobs Inn ved neste opphold i Dublin. Hostellet har sosiale arrangementer på kveldstid, men dette deltok jeg ikke på.

Et av de reneste hostellene jeg har bodd på. I tillegg var badet på mitt rom nyoppusset. Gardin som man kan dra for sengen, så man har mye privatliv. Anbefales!

Ble fortalt av taxi sjåføren på vei til hotellet at området rundt var preget av mye kriminalitet. Jeg gikk inn og sto i en lang kø, hvor det var kun en person som sto bak resepsjonen og tok imot all henvendelser. Vil se på dette som en mer studentbolig. Jeg sjekket ut veldig fort, og booket meg inn på et annet hotell, her følte jeg meg ikke vel!

Jacob’s Inn offered what a traveler needs and that’s a place to sleep. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done and it’s located walking distance to many great places in Dublin. The place was clean and the folks at the front desk were so helpful and friendly! I’d recommend this place.

That night, we had two fire drill because one of the guest played with the red button and someone smoked in the toilet of the room. The bar was closed. There was only one staff member to manage all of this so I can only congratulate this person. It is usually better.

I was content with my stay. To learn the downtown area of Dublin as a first visit it was handy. The staff were great and helpful. I could do laundry. It was convenient for the bus tours I took and lots of shops around for snacks. Pubs were small and crowded in that area. But I had only popped in on a match day. Occasionally noisy but overall the mattress was comfortable. USB ports and reading light in my pod. A bit rougher area but I’m 60 and a solo traveller

great stay for lowkey or social solo travelers
I loved staying here - the location was excellent, the pods and en suite bathrooms were great (10 second limit on water each push notwithstanding, but you make it work), the common areas and activities made it so easy to make friends. I got coffee or a beer from the lounge area every day - it was so nice! Very sweet staff. I definitely recommend staying here especially if you're traveling solo in Dublin! You can make your stay whatever you want :)

There was no power socket in a pod. It could use only usb-A in a pod, which is out-dated. It needs to be replaced by usb-C, otherwise people cannot recharge their phones or other devices. Room cleaning was too early. They said room cleaning starts at 10am even though the checkout is 11am. So, you should be prepared by 10am. This totally doesn’t make sense. While they were cleaning, there was no room to pack my bag, so I had to ask the cleaning people to leave my room. The hostel should change the checkout time to be 10am. Except these two, everything was nice. It was quite a modern facility. Thanks to a curtain for each pod, privacy can be safely kept. A locker is given to each person.

Not coming back
Met with incredibly rude and judgemental female staff member who was more interested in the music playing than resolving the problem/explaining to me what the problem was (3rd party issue - she obstinately claimed the card declined despite my receipts). Her manager was very polite and helpful. Room was as expected, although 6-bed dorms have no sound insulation so don't expect to sleep much. Housekeeping also arrived 1h before checkout, so I hope they enjoyed watching me get ready to leave. I don't plan on coming back

I enjoyed the stay at this hostel. Located close to many restaurants and social activities. The pods were spacious and I love the secured locker. My best tip is to code the secured locker code nightly simply because in a shared room, you may not know who is looking. My only con is the timed showers and sinks. It is hard to wash your hands for even 10 seconds when it shuts off every 5 seconds. I would definitely stay here again even though it is a little pricey for a hostel. But you will get the space, cleanness, great customer service which is worth paying extra.

The staff and facilities were great. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, outgoing, and helpful. I stayed in the 12 mix room and it was great. I had a wonderful time and recommend this to anyone traveling to Dublin. It is so close to the tram and theres more than enough cabs to go around. Its a super location within walking distance of everything great in Dublin. Only complaint is that the showers run on the colder side so be prepared for a cold shower. They did warm up a little when lots were showering at the same time.

I stayed at Jacobs Inn to run the Dublin marathon. It was perfect for my stay. Everyone including staff and guests were polite and friendly. There was Live music in the bar area in the evening. The rooms are basic but clean. You get a code protected Large locker to store your suitcase and bags. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Nice hostel with a live band on in the bar. The room was a bit hot, even with the window open in late September!

Très convenable
Les lieux sont propres mais il ne faut pas être claustrophobe pour dormir dans ces "boîtes". Une seule salle de bain pour 8, avec un problème d'évacuation de l'eau. Malgré tout, cela convient très bien pour une nuit.
