Honest review. Note I have stayed in several Hyatt chain hotels. This was the first bad experience. Disappointed to say the least. Not worth the price. Pros- location to where I needed to be near. Beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast is your usual buffet which is enough. Nothing fancy but enough. Space of the room ( minus the sink outside the bathroom) Cons- stained carpet ( like red juice or wine big stain near bed. Shower plastic curtain with mild and filthy with soap scum, never had I seen a shower curtain that gross. The fan in the room was super dirty, never been wiped. No complimentary water, not even one. Coffee was in room with tea but you had to go down to purchase. No room service, which is one reason I booked here! Pool was cold, and we could not enjoy as there seemed to have been a birthday party booked there with lots of kids, was super loud could not enjoy! Water did not look clean! The towels for the pool were tiny! Like you have to be a XS to use or a child. No robes provided, which with a pool should be standard. Was super disappointed considering what we paid.

Hyatt Auburn hills was within close driving distance to everything we needed (there really wasn't anything to close to walk to). Shopping and food was on the agenda for a quick trip. The hotel was very clean, our room was spotless, and comfy beds. I loved the extra sitting room also! The pool was great! The breakfast in the morning was delicious! We enjoyed our stay!

I love that it was family friendly, the staff was helpful and nice. The only downfall was the walls were thin and I could hear our neighbors muffled conversations. But overall a great stay for the price!

Pool was cold, closed at 9pm. Even though when we called to check on times, they told us 11pm. No hot tub either? If we would have known that, we would have picked a different place! My aunt found old food, and perfume in her room because it wasn’t cleaned properly. About the only thing they did right was put our room close to my aunts like we asked. Staff was nice tho. Helpful with the pack and play. Which was nice. Probably won’t stays again, but it worked for the one night.

Lots of dust in the room, carpet stains, found out on the way there pool was shut down, should have received a discount for the 2 rooms since we planned to use, nope. Full bar? Nope. Dinner, nope? Rates dropoed big time from my pre paid rate for 2 nights 2 rooms by $50 a night, discount? Nope. Skip this place, many other area options

Everything about this property is great the rooms in particular the bathroom are just a bit dated. Didn’t like the layout of the room how the bed is directly behind the open bathroom countertop area. Actual shower and toilet room is very small, tight space but totally functional. Room was clean but it could have been cleaner without trying to be too critical.

I was very disappointed and how the Hyatt look I’m using used to a more upscale looking property cracks in the wall. Rooms were like a motel eight didn’t have anyone cleaning our room had to ask for my own towels the breakfast continental was gone during breakfast time, Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel and I will not be coming back

Walking in and Checking in I felt like I was bothering the skeleton staff that was present, and making them work. I stood for 2 minutes at the desk before a word was said by the staff. They stated the terminals are down and power keeps shorting out (no storms) so I couldn’t even get room keys. One let me in my room with a master key and I asked if I’d be able to get keys at some point-he laughed and shrugged. Room was clean, bed comfortable, but this was not your typical Hyatt experience at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if this hotel shuts down within a year.

Somewhere in the middle.
I'm not sure if our sheets were previously cleaned - as there were multiple stains. Maybe they had been washed, but the stains didnt come out? There were cobwebs on the ceiling. The bathroom was SO tiny (weird, for such a big room?). The staff was very plesant, our check-in person even talked with my little neice. I did go down to the lobby to get candy in the middle of the night and the woman there wasn't particularly friendly. The window to the outside was screwed in place/shut, so it was very stuffy all night long. The kids loved the pool, and I loved how big the room was. The morning breakfast was AMAZING.

Everything was great- except breakfast
The breakfast was cold. My daughter and I came down to breakfast at 8am. The food looked amazing but the eggs, sausage, potatoes and French toast sticks were cold. We couldn’t finish eating it. I didn’t see any of the kitchen staff to say anything. I was surprised and disappointed that the food was cold. Everything else was wonderful. We had a nice stay besides breakfast. Thank you

Terrible! First of all my family staying in the 5th floor had a staff member break into their room while in their room removing the inside door lock unannounced at 9:30 pm . Police involved . Breakfast had to wait in line as the whole housekeeping staff made their breakfast . Our room was clean but no bath towels and it had an awful smell of burnt wires or some sort of gas odor.

Involvements of this nature are an anomaly, not at all the norm. Also, breakfast lines and room amenity issues are things we strive to prevent. Lastly, the odors you describe are concerning. We take such reports seriously and act quickly to investigate.
