Rooms never get dark.
Hotel is a nice historical hotel. Our room was very cute. Severe downfall, there is glass at the tops of the doors, we had two glass panes in our room looking out into the hallway. They keep hallway lights on and it shines through the glass directly into the room. So it never gets dark. We stayed two nights, and didn't sleep hardly at all. It's so light in the room you could almost read a book. Unfortunately they do not have anything to cover the windows with. We will not be staying here again.

It was fun to stay in a historic hotel which was decorated true to original tome. Our stay was cut short but we enjoyed the one night we stayed.

If you're looking for the 'old west' hotel experience without the dingy carpet, this is the place! It's so tastefully updated while retaining the history, staff is amazing, super friendly and willing to help ensure you have a great experience. and, a short walk to main street. highly recommend a stay here!

These are the notes in our reservation system made by our staff after your stay. Nothing more needs to be said:Guests Trashed the room. Guests left keys in room so couldn't get back into the hotel were very vulgar.Smoked in room and ran over the bathtub when they went to get their luggage.

Unique hotel, perfect for couples
The Martin and Mason never disappoints. Wonderful hotel for couples or single. Rooms are beautifully decorated and despite being simple amenities it is perfect. Not your cookie cutter hotel!

Sorry your experience wasn't up to your expectations. Our advice for you in the future would be to research a property. We have a website with great photos of each room, we are centrally located in the heart of the historic district, offer free parking and cold drinks to our guests. Every single hotel in Deadwood has a casino on the ground floor. Gaming is what saved this town in the 90's.

Beautiful
Super friendly. Great history. The owner gives you some back story and walks you to the room. Coffee in the morning, right outside the door. The rooms are soooooo pretty.

This is a gorgeous property that was lovingly restored by Blake and his wife. They take great pride in this hotel, and it shows. I was absolutely thrilled to have spent the night here, and I will definitely recommend it to everyone.

I loved the room at the M&M. It was like walking back in time, also very clean and beautiful. I liked how the hotel offered complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. The owner was friendly and he walked us to our room. The location is great. The hotel is a short walk to the Silverado casino and the Franklin Hotel. It's also within walking distance of all the other downtown restaurants. Areas that could be improved. I thought the casino area was a tad dark and certainly didn't reflect the beauty of the rooms. I also was surprised the hotel room didn't have an iron. If one was available, I couldn't find it. Otherwise, this was an enjoyable stay. I will definitely reserve a room again in the future.
