EXCELLANT !!! Beautiful B&B, excellent breakfast and wonderful hosts! Will definitely stay there again. Met many there who were return guests. Just far enough off the beaten path and Adams House is right there also. Easy walk to town. If you like B&B you must check it out!

This was our fourth stay here. We love the people there and the historic rooms. We always get a great breakfast too. It is only a couple of block walk to downtown Deadwood.

Easy to locate and in walking distance of historic Deadwood section. Owners very helpful and informative about the area. Appreciated breakfast accommodation for VGF/NF and extra bonus that it was so yummy too! Beautiful attic room and bathroom.

This is one of the best BNB’s we have stayed at. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The bed and room were comfortable and supplied with all we needed. The breakfasts were very tasty with homemade jam and the coffee was extra special. We look forward to staying here again.

This is an amazing Bnb! You need to stay here if you stay in Deadwood. The Attic Suite was lovely. Comfy beds, a amazing shower and quiet. The breakfast was so yummy and the coffee amazing. It is such a cute home and I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

This was our first time at a Bed & Breakfast and it was amazing. Nyla and Tom were so friendly and had great info about the area. Breakfast was always to die for. Would definitely stay again when in that area. 10 star facility. The best experience we have ever had in our travels, better then any hotel we have ever stayed at.

Nyla & Tom Griffith(noted author) were wonderful hosts. Both provided great information on Deadwood, Mt Rushmore, and wonderful restaurants in the area. Nyla creates these very tasty breakfasts including a sourdough French toast and a frittata that are both delicious. The 1899 inn was both comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend staying here, and make sure to purchase one of Tom’s more than 3 dozen books about a variety of topics including My Rushmore.

If visiting Deadwood, this is where to stay that’s walkable to everything but away from the main busy road. The owners of this property are amazing and so enjoyable to sit and talk with. This stay was like staying with family.

Wonderful Truly Historic Home - Exquisite Brkfst
Historic home with beautiful art and historic pieces. Nyla was a superb hostess. Very comfortable room and bed. We shared a bathroom with another room with no issues. Baked French toast made with homemade sourdough bread was scrumptious.

1899 Inn, HAD NOTHING TO DISLIKE! This is a beautiful property centered around its history and owner operators Nana, Tom and family who have kept it up to it Victorian standards. BEAUTIFUL, RELAXING and FUN! a rate of 5 was too little, maybe 7/5 should be a better score. Will stay there again when in Deadwood! KBP

The 1899 Inn is a beautifully restored Victorian home, with the nicest owners. You can tell they love what they do and provide. They provided beautiful accommodations with a delicious breakfast. I would recommend this Inn to anybody and everybody!!

Wonderful Experience!
We stayed in the attic suite, which was beautiful and cozy. We felt “at home” instantly. The location is just a couple of blocks from the downtown area - an easy walk. The thoughtful details, such as bubble bath and rubber ducks for a relaxing soak, made our stay extra special. Breakfast the following morning was delicious.

The best!
The 1899 Inn was the highlight of our cross country road trip! A beautiful Victorian house filled with period furniture and many incidental items. The innkeepers are welcoming, gracious and informative. The homemade breakfasts served on fine chine are superb. Easy to walk to the center of Deadwood, but on a quiet block away from all the noise and hubbub. A real gem-don’t miss it if there’s a room available

Better than home!
This was easily the best stay of our 3-week trip! If only we could have stayed longer! Beautiful home, authentic Victorian ambiance, tasty breakfast and an innkeeper who thought of everything and then some!
