The hotel was dirty! Smelled like a wet dirty ashtray, obviously not a non smoking room. BED BUGS!! got bit atleast 5 times. No mattress covers, just a sheet. It was gross!

The staff at checkout was rude and hateful. Accused my wife and I of smoking in the room which is quite odd because neither of us smoke. Kept our $50 deposit and refused to give it back, I even offered them to check our bags and vehicle for cigarettes but they would not take me up on that offer. I honestly believe the front desk clerk kept the $50 for his/herself( I myself couldn’t tell ).

However i want to clarify that the Smoke alarm was covered and Front desk and maintenance wanted to inspect the room to make sure all the smoke alarms are connect. When front desk lady try to go into the room after knocking for 2 times guest didn't let her go into the room and also she saw that smoke detector was covered with Towel. Guest close the door and didn't let our staff to check the room. According to Red Roof Inn policy we have to charge the guest 250 if we suspected or see that guest try to smoke in the room. I apologies against on our staff behalf however we cannot tolerate a guest smoke or try to cover the smoke alarm and don't let our staff check the room. Thank you

When I arrived the room was dirty. Long black hair all over the bathroom and sink. Even a plastic knife left on a rug. The rugs were very dirty and the tile was gritty. Dirt in the corners and along the walls. I asked to be moved or the room cleaned and they very politely agreed to clean the room. I left for my business and upon my return it smeled fresher. The hair was gone but the dirt was still in corners and along the walls. The neighborhood was a little scary. And many of the Scariest were staying at the hotel .

Never again! The door wouldn’t even open correctly. I had to get the front desk attendant who had to lift and pull and shove the door to open and then looks at me like that’s completely normal way to open a door. The inside of the room looked like bedbug central. I literally slept in my car. This place should be removed from any platform

I like that they take pets and more than one only thing I did not like I said they don't clean the rooms very thoroughly after a puppy a dog or cat or whatever animal has been in it it has a smell to it

When we arrived at our first room the linens were filthy and the heat didn't work in the room then they put us in another room and the heat worked but the sheets had hair and blood stains on them so I had to call to the front desk and they just brought me sheets and made me change them myself

I recently stayed at Red Roof Dayton airport on Miller Lane Ohio and would like to bring attention the deplorable conditions of this property. I was given room 123 to stay in for 4 nights. Entering the room it smelled musty dirty and like a wet dog. While I understand that this is a pet friendly property it was obvious that this smelled more like a pet shelter than a guest room. The following were my observations of the room: • The small carpeted area was filthy and appeared to have never been cleaned • The ceiling of the room had major cracks and the paint was peeling off • The bed covering was dirty with stained mud on it • The towels were dirty • The shower barely had any water pressure or any hot water and showering was next to impossible • The lamp in the room was covered in rust and the shade was stained and torn • The rooms heater/air conditioner had its panel smashed out and was impossible to control or know the temperature • The bedside table had the front plugs smashed out and the plug for it was torn off • The inside of the bathroom door had been chewed at and scratched like a dog was left trapped in the bathroom • The lights above the bed had the majority of the bulbs missing • The toilet paper roll holder was basically hanging off the wall • The door to the room would often malfunction and lock with the deadbolts and it took repeated times to get them to retract

Key didn't wait work in the room so I had to walk back to the main office to get in the room. The room did even have a TV. Not sure if the heater worked either. I would recommend staying there.it needs an upgrade

The location was the only positive about this hotel. Our rooms, both the one we started with and the second one we switched to, had a bad smell, like mothballs and mildew. It gave the rooms a very dirty feel, like there was mold growing somewhere. (The front desk offered us some Fabreeze to mask the odor.) Our second room didn't have a working TV, but at least the AC unit worked. The outlet by the sink did not work. The bedspread on one of the beds had stains on it. The flooring had damaged areas and mystery stains. We didn't take our shoes off in the room. I am not a germaphobe at all, but this room made me afraid to touch anything and you can't relax in a room like that. The best part of our stay was leaving the next morning and breathing some fresh air.

This was the most disappointing Red Roof Inn I’ve ever stayed at. Bathroom was disgusting and needed a real professional to update. I ended up going to a store to buy a sheet and pillow to use rather than sleep on the bed as it was. The mattress was awful. My door on the exterior had a place where it had been kicked in. My traveling companion had a window with a huge crack in it, and also had a disgusting bathroom. We checked out early and asked to be refunded for the 1 night we didnt stay. They said they’d refund us. If that refund does NOT come through, I’m going to be very upset.

There were flies in the room - yuk. The airconditioner was broken. The room smelled very very bad. The place looked unsafe, and so we packed up requested them to cancel and refund us. The staff were very cooperative, and willingly cancelled our reservations. Waiting for our refund to come through.

Never Again - Room Not Fit For Human Habitation
We couldn't stay as room conditions were unacceptable - we both suffer from asthma and were shown 2 different rooms but both had previous occupants smoke/smoking residue permeating the entire room. Went to another hotel and we were promised a refund that never came - I'll never stay at any Red Roof Inn again.
