Seems that half the rooms have been updated and half have been forgotten. The room we had was severely outdated, for the price per night in peak seasons I would not expect the rooms to be from the 90’s. Bar staff were beyond terrible. Don’t want to be mean but I waited 25 minutes for a bucket of ice and all they could do was shrug their shoulders.

Our bedrooms will be refurbished later this year as a large scale project, as unfortunately due to the pandemic our bedroom refurbishment was put on hold. As you have stated, we have started to redecorate some of our rooms so some are looking much fresher than others currently.I hope you saw in the reception and public areas that what we want to achieve as a business will look fantastic when we finish the project. We are sorry to learn that you had to wait for a bucket of ice, and that you felt our staff were rude to you. We pride ourselves on the high standard of our customer service, and so if you could kindly contact me at the hotel, I would be keen to learn more about who you encountered on that occasion. Loved our two nights stay in room 368. Great size and best breakfast. The food was well presented, good quality ingredients and much better that other hotels we’ve stayed at. The pool was beautifully heated, nice sauna and jacuzzi. Gym was well stocked. Will definitely be back.

Reception staff was pleasant but unable to organise late check out for me. Instead l was advised to wake up in the morning and come to Reception to organise late check out with day staff. This did not serve the purpose as the idea was to rest uninterrupted. Bed side cabinets were dusty. Curtains in room did not close properly allowing light to come in and disturbance to my sleep.

Great place to stay in Daventry. Beautiful location with a golf course on site. Was dog friendly with plenty of poo bins around. Used the leisure facilities and was even able to charge our EV. Staff were excellent! Many thanks

I was freezing the room was cold with no heating. I did say at reception when checking out and was told I should have asked for a portable heater. I was attending a very late event in daventry. It was 2.30 am when I returned too late to ask so just got into bed luckily I was solo so I could use the bedding from the next bed. Overall I was very disappointed and very unlikely to return which is a shame as a lot of my friends were there also so another time will probably look for alternative accommodation.

Tired and dated room
The public areas in the Staverton and indeed some of the guest rooms look great - unfortunately I was in a bit of a dungeon at the back of the hotel, the room was dated, the bathroom particularly belonged in the last century. I've stayed in great rooms there - sadly this definitely wasn't one of them.

Nice hotel with easy parking. Tasteful interior design and decor. Pool is excellent, very clean facilities although it is a bit of a walk from main hotel building and £1 charge per towel, with limiting open hours. Food and service in bar excellent. Room was ok but en-suite tiny.

Great base for Warwick castle visit
Absolutely lovely hotel. But it was used more as a base for our visit to Warwick castle 🏰 so didn’t arrive until 10pm and literally got up, had breakfast and then drove to the castle. But the room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious 😋 Shame we didn’t get the chance to use the swimming pool but didn’t have time

Not a great nights sleep
Cost effective, clean and reasonably comfortable. However the issue with this hotel is the nightly noise level. Low sound proofing or not enough signs up to keep people quiet meant that we were woken up several times with my 8 year old son asking if someone was trying to get into our room. Not a great experience for him

Ask for a ‘new shower’ room
Sort the showers out and the signage! This is obviously upgraded plumbing but in getting in and turning on the shower (which I thought would be a simple exercise) the shower knobs were stiff and mixing was not working. I tried to read the label but it was so small I had to exit the shower to get my glasses to then try to read the label Which then steamed up. After winging a shower that sort of worked but also ran a bath at the same time, I coped! Whilst laughable, I didn’t expect to get 3 hot water burns then cold shower therapy because the plumbing was outdated and instructions’ were not clear enough. Maybe it’s my fault for making an assumption that showers are simple things to use! Not here though and not expected in a 4 star place? Food was great though!

Fabulous stay! Staff made sure we were able to eat despite a late arrival. Only downside was limited pool time for the children otherwise we'd have stayed longer. Will definitely come again and would recommend.

Good hotel
Good reasonably priced hotel in nice location. I think check out should be later at weekends. 11am would give people a better chance to enjoy breakfast without rushing, especially as it's so busy in the breakfast area.

In general it was a good stay at the hotel with my family after attending a family wedding unfortunately the breakfast was very disappointing, sausages over cooked and some of them under cooked bacon was to dry and orange was very watery. Croissants finished at 9:15 and it haven’t been replaced. Very nice hotel very attentive staff but lot’s to improve on breakfast

Nice hotel but needs some improvements
Hotel was nice, great for easy access to Silverstone MotoGP. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean although a little dated. The bad points were, shower wasn't great, biscuits supplied in the rooms were in pieces(disappointing when you're looking forward to a cup of tea and a biscuit in the evening), the breakfast was nice bit unless you are there early you will miss out, once food was taken it was not restocked which was disappointing when we came down the 2nd morning at 9am. The pool was clean but we were very annoyed that people were hogging the jacuzzi for 45mins at a time and could not get use of it. I might be tempted to stay here again as it was reasonably priced.
