The husband and wife team was so nice to have. They were very conscientious and kind. They spoke English as well and were able to help me find it. It WAS tricky as the GPS had trouble pinpointing the location and it is a busy road. They are pet friendly and were very pleasant to interact with.

The signage on the hotel said…Hotel….and not Sure Hotel, which meant I passed by it twice before I got close enough to see a tiny indication of identity!! But once settled in, it proved to be pretty good. My room was a bit small but clean and well prepared. Everything worked!! Staff were really helpful. I wasn’t keen on the lay out of the bathroom, and things were really cramped together. But overall great value and I would definitely stay again, as I do travel quite often in France.

Hotel is a "Sure" thing
Well what can I say, I had a long arduous journey from southern France on 21st Feb, I arrived at the hotel later than I expected, however, I was welcomed with a smiling, friendly face behind reception. He explained fully about the code system for the exit gate etc, I went to my room and what a pleasant surprise, beautiful decor and, most importantly, comfy bed. I certainly will use this hotel again 😊😊😊

Perfect stay for the Chunnel which is less than 10 mins away. Basic but comfortable although the WiFi is poor. Reasonable restaurant a five minute walk away and other a bit further. Very convenient with pleasant helpful staff and on site secure parking which is free.

Fantastic hotel near the Eurotunnel
This is the third visit to the hotel and each time the management have been very friendly and helpful. They also speak English which is certainly a major plus in my eyes. The room are lovely and clean with plenty of towels and an hairdryer for your convenience. The bed is comfortable too. There is a kettle with coffee and tea for you to enjoy a refreshing drink after a long drive. The room is lovely and warm especially in winter when is was a cold wind outside. The hot towel rail in the bathroom certainly helps with the cosiness of the bathroom. Well done to the hotel management. I will certainly stay here again especially being very close to the Eurotunnel.

Charging for extra tea coffee and milk for room
In nearly all ways hotel was really good but what let it down was being charged 6 euros for two coffee sachets 2 bags and 4 very small milk portions in the room . I work in an hotel which provides all the above free of charge

Very welcoming staff//owners. Ideal location for eurotunnel. There is a good restaurant very close by in easy walking distance. You even get a discount by simply presenting your hotel room key card. Breakfast was very good also. I did like, in particular, the boil your own egg machine. No more over cooked eggs (unless you left it in there for too long yourself). I will book this hotel again on my next Europe trip via Eurotunnel.

Friendly but tired & cramped
Staff always friendly but on this visit the bathroom was unworkable - squeezing past a sink to get to the toilet, and a black-mouldy overbath shower screen that neither opened to allow access to the miniature bath nor stayed closed to keep shower water in. Poor quality compared to B&B Hotels next door.

Much better than Ibis budget
Overnight stay at Calais before ferry. Hotel very near to restaurants and a shopping centre. Room comfortable and ten times better than a comparable Ibis of about the same price. Bed very comfortable, room clean, small, but well thought out. Nice area to sit and relax with a drink. Pet friendly for 10 euros.

Hairs on towels
We found black hairs approximately 5cm to 8cm long on both bath towels - immediately visible when we entered bathroom first time. The female receptionists body language suggested was disbelieving but she agreed to replace towels. However, my wife did not feel comfortable sleeping in the hotel and we booked a room at the B&B Hotel chain nearby. When we explained this to the male receptionist he did offer an alternative room. However, both receptionists - possibly husband / wife managers, were not well groomed and we did not trust the cleanliness of the hotel at all.

Rooms are checked twice a day and cleanliness is the most important point to us and best western brand. The réceptionnist gave you a new towel but not hair found on your towel! The receptionnist wanted to give you a new room but you refused and left the hotel without a word... We don't deserve this note which is severe and not very motivating to us . The Sure hotel by Best western team.

Good budget hotel
We stay here fairly often and it has not let us down yet. Secure car park, the room are not large, but adequate. Small bath with a shower over. Tea coffee in the room. Disappointed as I had forgotten my razor and the booklet in the room said they were available 'complimentary' at reception. Not so, I was directed to Auchan, nearby.

Don't judge a book by its cover
I'll admit, I thought maybe I had made a mistake when we drove up. I tend to go more modern in my choices, and the building had me feeling a more quaint vibe. The service was great and the little lobby was very cute. There are picnic tables and patio tables on an adorable front garden area as well. Heading up the stairs I had that sinking feeling again. But once we got into our room, it made me smile. Small indeed, but you see that information when booking (I hadn't really noticed because I go on photos, so a heads-up if you're like me). Great big window and a kettle for coffee that they provide. The bathroom was clean and the decor was cute. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I mean, for the price, this place was a great find.
