A OK hotel
We styed only one night. The staff was very helpful andfriendly. Before we came we asked for help to book train tickets. The hotel answered that they couldn't help us. When we came the train was full, and we had to rent a car with driver for 6 hours drive. The hotel was clean, but didn't look like a 4 star hotel. The pool was nice, but the aerea around was very dirty. We can really recomend The Brew Room, the restaurant connected to the hotel.

We was told to book the hotel 1 day earlier since check in time was 12.00 and we supposed to come around 05.00 in the morning. So we did. We arrived around 11.00 clock, when we came there it was only 1 girl which was helping the checking in customers. They haven't prepared our checked in. When we was there she said " you have checked in yesterday" but we came today. Then we said so our room should have been ready by now. No answers for that. Once she made our rooms ready, she never finished with us first but took other customers right in front of us. Totally we waited more than 1hour to check into our room. But there was many other manager and staff sitting beside. Cannot call it a reception. It can be more service minded and well presented. Hotel is otherwise very nice, they have restaurant, bar, nightclub og nice and clean rooms. If you are planning to go out for nightclub then you need to be couples. There are many choices in other hotels aswell.

Savera Hotel
Tilbrang ei fantastisk uke på Savera Hotel Chennai. Veldig hyggelige staff der, som får gjort alt du ber om, så fort som mulig. Restaurantene er til å skryte av, spesielt The Piano. Kommer definitivt til å oppholde meg der neste gang jeg er i Chennai.

The staff are friendly, attentive, competent and over all a pleasure. The pool is great as is the gym. Food is excellent especially if you like south India vegetarian choices. Rooms are large and adequately appointed. The hotel is old and shows it’s age although continuous remolding is underway. Most staf speak some English. The guests are primarily Indian from various places. For the price the property is an exceptional value.

Pros The property is a gleaming white impressive spectacle. Very good service at the reception. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. Great buffet breakfast and service. Dinner at Malgudi is excellent but service is slow and somewhat aloof. Centrally located to go any where. Many restaurants in the vicinity. Cons Bed linens and towels are stained and have turned yellowish. Not a very pleasant site. All the restaurants and swimming pools cannot cover up for poor quality linen a towels. The person at the payment counter somewhat impatient,unsmiling and not very pleasant of behaviour. Could be more friendly to make the interaction pleasant.

Well known and Centrally located.
This hotel is centrally located, but it is an old property. Rooms, elevators electrical and electronic aspects need total upgrade. If you like South Indian food, their breakfast (comes with room) is sumptuous. Malgudi restaurant serves decent lunch and dinner in a clean environment.

Very good location. Clean. Two good dining options. Need additional maintenance - musty smell in room due dampness and lack of exhaust/ventilation. Got a room next to maintenance room and there were noise until midnight

Well improved; comfortable and pleasant stay
Hotel is a prime location, though it has existed for long the new renovations makes it look better. Rooms are maintained clean, good amenities and WiFi, staff are polite and accommodating and overall a very enjoyable stay.

An EXCELLENT hotel in the heart of Mylapore
The Breakfast buffet was good but it has been scaled back from my pre-Covid visits. My room was very comfortable and Praveen my room boy (Floor 9) went beyond the call of duty to always check with me if I needed extra towels, water, coffee etc.
