The Movich is a great place to stay. The location is perfect. The staff were very nice and accomodating especially for an american with solamente un poco espanol. The spa is very good and yhe breakfast on property was very good. I would recommend the property to anyone.

Joanna at the front desk was the absolute best. She went above and beyond to help make sure I had the best celebration of my birthday. The rooftop is beautiful and the location is perfect and right in the middle of the old city about a 15 minute walk from Getsemaní. The room was clean and the AC ran the entire time. Rainfall shower heads with hot water availability. I enjoyed the deep tissue massage there and I’d say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The pool is clean and the food is incredible. I would stay here again no doubt. Joanna en la recepción fue la mejor absoluta. Se esforzó al máximo para asegurarse de que tuviera la mejor celebración de mi cumpleaños. El techo es hermoso y la ubicación es perfecta, justo en el medio de la ciudad vieja, a unos 15 minutos a pie de Getsemaní. La habitación estaba limpia y el aire acondicionado funcionaba todo el tiempo. Duchas con cabezales tipo lluvia y disponibilidad de agua caliente. Disfruté del masaje de tejido profundo allí y diría que fue uno de los mejores que he tenido. La piscina está limpia y la comida es increíble. Sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo.

The property is located near a bunch of shops and restaurants. The area around the hotel is very safe, I saw multiple families with children exploring. As for the hotel it’s very clean and has everything you need. The breakfast was included in my stay and that was good as well. They have a rooftop bar that is beautiful, I suggest checking it out even if you don’t stay at this hotel. The staff was wonderful and Nelson gave me wonderful recommendations! If I’m ever back in Cartagena I will definitely stay here again.

Everything was first class. A special thank and to Johanna. She was supper organizing dinners and taxi rides for us. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. A real Jewel. Take good care of her, she deserves it.

Beautiful small hotel. Rooftop pool and view are the highlight. Great breakfast. Great service although the staff by the pool could be more attentive. Rooms are beautiful with great bathroom.

This hotel is always out of this world, it never lets me down. Staff goes above and beyond, they would do anything to help you. Facilities are well kept, the rooftop terrace with pool is the gem of this hotel. Best views hands down. My only suggestions would be to add better equipment at the gym.

Great location and of course a great view from the rooftop bar. Pool is quite nice too. A unique spot within the walled city. The staff at Movich are excellent. Javier, Johanna and Camilla were all very friendly and helpful. We appreciated their helpfulness during our stay very much!

Had a great time there. It has one of the best rooftops. While the breakfast had a lot of vegetarian options. It is located close to everything and you can walk around town

Great service! The breakfasts and staff were delightful. Nice that the included breakfast could be taken in dining room or through room service. The breakfast, pool, rooftop bar, drinks alls sunsets are excellent. The room was musty and the view from our room not good. However, the smell subsided and was probably due to the ac being off before our arrival. Super load until the wee hours so pack earplugs. The location is a 5. We stayed 6 nights including NYE and had a blast. I would stay at Movich again.

Do not stay here - scam alert
Be careful if you arrange taxi services through this hotel. They will scam you. Our taxi charge was on the bill, then when we got to the airport the driver was arguing with us saying the hotel didn't pay him. Then when we called the hotel they stated the second taxi charge was from our first driver waiting for our flight the night we arrived. Even though we were in contact with the driver and told him our flight was late and the hotel had the flight number. The hotel also told both of these drivers to come at incorrect times. Also didn't help that the room was dirty and had hair in the shower. The room smells like mold and the AC did not cool below 24 degrees C. Will not stay again.

Extended weekend in Walled City
Awesome Javier and Cindy were super sweet and helpful. The rooftop is to die for as for as view and comfort and just gorgeous. The breakfast was good and coffee in morning was amaze balls. Would definitely come back and stay with them. They were very sweet a boutique hotel in a great area close to everything. no need to stay anywhere else.

PLEASE READ. The hotel is fine but check your final bill they give you before you check out. Make them itemize it and have explain the charges. We found “Cashout” and “Payout we never had or authorized. What does this mean? They claimed we asked for local currency and asked for it to charged to our room. We never did this, when we disputed this they were very (a little too quick) to reverse the charges. and got this reversed. This appear and feels a lot like fraud by the hotel staff to us. Plus they said they’d pay for our taxi to the airport. They never did. We had to pay the driver again. CHECK! CHECK! CHECK! You bill throughly. We won’t be staying with Movich hotels again.

Locatie goed, leuke rooftop. Kamers prima, wij hadden eerst een luxe kamer (302) die erg gehorig bleek te zijn (wakker worden van de douche/geluiden van de andere kamers en geluid buiten), dit gemeld en een andere kamer gekregen (405) - die zeker beter was, behalve het WiFi ontvangst (0). Personeel; sommigen vriendelijk en gastvrij, anderen vinden het al snel te veel gevraagd; bijv bij gebruik van het zwembad, hier was slechts 1 parasol (tevens in gebruik), de andere bedden waren vol in de zon, een extra parasol of iets was niet mogelijk - of er was iig niet de wil hier moeite voor te doen. Tijdens het ontbijt, wat qua eten prima is, was een cappuccino echt niet mogelijk (terwijl dit wel op de kaart staat). Taxi laten regelen en op de kamer laten zetten door het hotel, helaas blijkt de chauffeur hier nog een slaatje uit te willen slaan en vraagt nog eens om een betaling, hem maar gevraagd om nog eens met het hotel te bellen, het zal er bij horen.
