Sandos Cancún was an outstanding experience!! The service, the cleanliness was spotless, lots of activities to do, the spa was a great add-on. Mario and Silvia from the Spa were very professional and provided great service. I highly recommend the Frattini restaurant. It was a great experience starting from decoration, music, amazing food and the service.. top notch! Advel was our server and made the experience even more pleasant. Highly recommended!

I never post reviews but I wanted to warn everyone about our terrible experience here. My fiancé and I came to enjoy a vacation and possibly tour the venue option here for our wedding. The pictures online are very false. Our first day, no AC in our room. The shower would over fill. Due to the construction of how the building was made. We went to the buffet the first night and my goodness, the food options were terrible. I am glad they did change our room after complaint, but same thing with the shower. Due to our first night here, we decided this isn’t the place we would want for our wedding and the stay of our family. The poor construction of this building. Out dated furniture. I do not recommend sandos cancun. We ended staying out of the resort more due to lack of food and the bar in the resort being closed. Pointless resort.

Great and amazing service was by Jose from Zango and St. Trop - that kid was always happy to help and provide best service and most importantly he is very positive and always smiling Levy from Zango very professional and friendly I need to mention Angel waiter from the beach Fausto from St. Trop was nice and helpful Rocio as well Evert from beach and swimming pool (very hard working person in this hotel) Eddie from the swimming pool super fun, helpful and professional Eleazar from massage super cool Dani from pool activities was super cute and fun Reyes Tec Manager from the front desk was the best, most helpful and professional Thank you to all off them . They really did there best to make our vacation the best possible

The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Liked the different activity nights. The mini bar was stocked daily with water, beer, juice and sodas. The building and room need updates but overall, the hotel was clean.

We upgraded to get another restaurant included by the pool (St Troph) which we were glad we did. Open air, great view and excellent food. Our upgrade included a room with a water view and it overlooked the pool, large with a sofa, king bed and drawers for my clothes, husband used the closet. Overlooking the pool though can be loud at times so keep that in mind. The a la carte restaurants are very good, tepankayi, Italian and the masquerade dinner especially was excellent. If you want a chais lounge or cabanas you have to get out way early as they get claimed by others quickly by placing the blue beach towels on there. We lost one cabana one day because someone just took it themselves. Bring a book you don’t care about to place with your towel would help. Entertainment was good inside and by the pools, but very loud. We found ourselves down by the beach because it was quieter. Yoga on the beach each morning was nice too. Thanks to all the great staff at Sandos! Itzel, Danna, Abraham, Carlos, Dani, Inka and Ivan just to name a few!

The entertainment team was great (daniel, danna, abraham, alex, charlie, itzel, eddie). They make the staying very nice and pleasant. The facilities are old and they are not reflecting the photos and the price that you are paying. The staff in general are very nice and the food is ok, nothing overboard. It was my first experience in the cancun hotel zone and for the same price you can get better in Rivera maya.

Weddings were very disruptive to sleep. Music was loud and could not sleep as they were right outside our balcony. We had early morning excursions and could not rest on 2 of the 4 nights we stayed there until weddings were over. Food options we’re the same day after day. We qualified for room upgrade via Expedia Hold membership but said we could not get it. We did not want to go through a 90 minute property presentation so did not get upgrade. Room was never swept or mopped.

Food was amazing and room was spacious and clean. I dropped my bracelet into some hole in the washroom area so I called the office around 11:30pm. And someone immediately came to my room with tools and found my bracelet. I was happy with everything at this hotel. Infiniti swimming pool was awesome too. I highly recommend this hotel.

The pool set up was beautiful looking out to the ocean. The staff were great. I didn't like that the food at the buffet was never hot or even luke warm, but I love the Trop restaurant by the pool, everything was very good and hot. I did like how close the Hotel was to the airport.

Really disappointed in our stay at Sandos. We went as a group of 6 and got 3 rooms. Upon check in, they’re telling us that the rooms don’t have any views, we said that was fine even though the description of the rooms we bought said that we would on Expedia. Check in tries to sell us an upgrade for a room with a view, we decline again. Then magically, they inform us that two of the rooms actually have views included but the third room does not. They try to sell it to us again. I just feel like it’s a big scam when we bought all 3 rooms together. The resort is a little outdated and has a strong sewage smell. One of the rooms kept having issues with the shower and had to get maintenance a couple times. No reservations were available during our 4 day stay for the hibachi restaurant. Front lobby tells us to contact concierge to help, which they just say they can’t add any more reservations. Only thing really open and available to eat is the buffet and room service which both sucked. One server to be exact offered AMAZING service! Shoutout to Pedro for taking care of us. Overall, the stay was disappointing and we will be going elsewhere next time we are in Cancún.

The best feature was the view from the room, although the decor is dated. Food was good except for the salty fish, but the same everyday. Drinks varied in quality by location and staff but they ran out of gin! The Masquerade show was great and they used Bar 1 for live music, but there is very limited seating to enjoy the music. The pool entertainment staff were great and the pool waiters worked really hard so please don't forget to tip them! The reason I will never stay here again is the very limited pool seating and the lack of any control of 'chair hogs'. There are three pools with the upper pool allowing smoking, but there are not enough chairs for all guests. I'm an early riser, but if I wasn't down at the pool by 6:00 am all the seating was taken although guests didn't arrive until 8, 9 or 10! I asked the pool manager and he replied that it is first come first served. The first morning when I arrived at 6:30 I was too late, but I found two loungers and put them together although there was no shade. The bali bed next to me was 'reserved', but as of 11:00 no one was there. One morning I was up at 4:30 and went down and about half the seating was already taken but noone was there, so apparently you can put a towel, a book, a hat or even slippers on a chair the night before and they don't remove anything. There is more seating on the beach, but again the covered beds are reserved by sunrise. If you want a pool day, but like to sleep in on vacation choose another hotel.

Overall, the hotel is Ok. The staff is really friendly and helpful. However, the food is not up to par. The options for the buffet are limited and the quality of the food is average at best, and sometimes not even so. There's 3 restaurants in the hotel, but the quality of the food is not that good either. Even the restaurant labelled as 'fine cuisine française' leaves a lot to be desired.

We came for our anniversary and were slightly overwhelmed by all the hotel options in the area. We picked Sandos hoping for the best and we were not at all disappointed. It was fabulous I enjoyed all the dining options and we tried all the restaurants the seasons was my personal favourite. But the service at all was fantastic. The bar service was convenient and was always nice poolside thanks to Casanova, Jesus, Migal,and Adien The room had a fantastic view and was perfect temperature and so comfortable. Bathrobe is amazing! The activity team was great and had tones of options I loved the beach yoga and water aerobics thanks Alex and crew mosses,Daniel Danna, Itzel you all were so welcoming and the options were from all out dance party to pool side language classes really something for any and every person. Best advice is on checking in get the website on your phone! They helped us with this and then Reservations, activities and spa were simple. The spa is beautiful and Eleazer and silvia were great I would definitely recommend The one crazy thing that happened One day I over heard a guy at the front desk saying he wanted to pay to stay by the pool I thought he had to pay for a late check out so I was taking to him Turn out he and his wife had a week booked at a different hotel they were so disappointed with the amenity’s and service that they purchased day passes at sandos and just slept at the other hotel There are not late check out fees

Arriving to the resort was beautiful. Check in was nice and we were told we had to pay a utility fee per day. Our bags were brought up to the room and of course we tip. Restaurants on site were all good but it was extemely hard to get a reservation at a decent time but there was a buffet and the restaurant by the pool that you could always get into. The activites around the resort are cute but they dont last more than an hour or so, so if you are looking for a party spot, this isnt the place. The bus stop is about 2 blocks away and after an ecursion, its turns to be a long walk back to the resort up the hill. The bus was the best way to get around and only had to pay $1 U.S. Servers around the pool were great but you got to tip so they keep coming back. We only were tipping $1 per drink. There is a store sith necessities on the property, but it does cost way more than it does in town. The beach was nice, but the waves are rough where as further north, the waves were calm. It was not meant for swimming... You do see police going up and down the beach with their faces covered but it is normal to see. We didnt experience any trouble and as long as you follow the rules and be careful with your drinks, you will be fine.

Alex, the entertainment manager, Rosio and Casanova from St Trop and Cesar from Frattinis have the best service!! Top notch and very friendly! The hotel could use some updates. Our room was not ready when we arrived, we only had one bed for 3 people and our wristbands kept disconnecting from the lock and we had to get them reprogrammed several times. Pools were nice, but main pool needs serious updates and the water one of the days was really murky, but despite that, we had a great time!

We enjoyed our trip and the price was right. Property was a little outdated but overall clean and had everything we needed. The staff went above and beyond. The food could be better.

The resort is nice and clean but need to work on their buffet food options. Also food was cold most of the times even at the resturants. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Didn't like having to wait for room. Most hotels will have room cleaned so I can check in early or they will have someone clean it.. The food was not good. Front desk was very good. Alicia and Jessica were great.
