Thanks for your review. We apologise that you had an issue with the air conditioner, which has since been fixed. The tropical weather sometimes causes issues.

Good value
Good hotel, complimentary breakfast (simple). Nice staff. Thin doors , hallway noise.Cosy outdoor area with barbecue, fridge, microwave, clean cutlery and plates. Good wifi. A slightly long walk to the centre of town, restaurants and markeds, about 20 minutes.

The staff was amazing my issues were with the spots on the fridge and corner of a wall. Just you take that part off it was very nice had a good looking pool and basically right in the middle of cairns makes it easy to get anywhere!

Good place to stay in Cairns, it is around 30 minutes walk to the ferries and Splanade lagoon. There is too much humidity in the toilet, maybe an extractor would be necessary

The room is very big. A little bit far from the centre, but still very good. Unfortunately, I did not receive the letter from the hotel concerning the check-in info, as I arrived to the location at the time the reception is not working. But the person came and showed everything after a call on the phone near the door.

このご時世でリーズナブルな価格で助かります。トイレ・シャワーは共同ですが部屋も含めて清潔でした。中心部から少し離れてますが、近くにいいローカルパブがありますので逆に良かったかも。

Okay for a convenient place to hunker down, the Budget Double is honestly a prison cell of a room. The shared washroom is in middle of the level, shared by ten rooms (ladies’ has one shower, one toilet, one sink). The room's AC was strong but there was still a sour smell; otherwise, clean. Window opened (no latch, no screen). No “tea and coffee making facilities" - the "kitchenette" is just a mini fridge; no sink or kettle and warnings everywhere that steam would set off fire alarms at your expense, anyway. Instant coffee machine in lobby required 3 X $1 coins; there might have been tea by the bar poolside. The grounds were decent and the location near the Esplanade was good, and they booked me a 4 am cab to the airport with cost me $25 (10min ride with no traffic).

The security door leading to the stairs outside of our room was broken and did not close properly, thereby allowing anyone to enter. The first morning we found our $20 box of gourmet pastries swarming with bugs. We approached the staff about it and they were dismissive and stated that you cannot have food out in the rooms without getting bugs. They made no attempt to resolve the issue. The next evening we saw two roaches in our room. We had to keep our luggage in our car to avoid getting bugs in our luggage. This was the worst place we have ever stayed.

The room was smelly and dimly lit. And the bathrooms were shared by a lot of people. Luckily, we were in and out at dawn and therefore avoided the crowd. The staff were nice but the property requires an upgrade.

Good value esp as traveling with adult daughter having adjoining rooms with shared bathroom. Continental breakfast include, upgrading to cooked breakfast for $5 well worth it, Great poached eggs

The property was overall a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Very helpful staff both at the Cafe, Reception and even the beautiful housekeepers who ensure that the rooms are cleaned and refreshed everyday.

Supposedly a pet friendly motel, I was unable to leave my dog unattended to go and grab an evening meal and only informed of this on arrival. No microwave to heat up anything if I had purchased a takeaway. Tiles in the shower had a respray revamp long ago, nice idea if the paint had actually stuck but it was peeling off in large areas. My booking was for a ground floor standard double with said dog, which someone had moved me from to an upstairs room. On arrival I accepted a twin single ground floor room, just as well I'm not a large person. If attending a function a you can't take your pet with you, dont bother booking here. Sidenote: the cleaning staff were wonderful

I originally stayed at the Queens Court as it looked really nice and was centrally located. Once I get there, I was given my room and went to go there and it was on the 3rd floor of Building C. Looking for an elevator, there was none!! Had to lug all luggage up 3 flights of stairs and ever time we came in or out of the hotel go up or down the 3 flight of stairs. Did not know this until we got there. I would have booked elsewhere if I had know this as we are traveling for several weeks and had several large bags of luggage. Also, the parking was very limited. Several times we had to park outside the hotel designated parking and in the street. I did not appreciate that as I paid for parking and was not able to use that space. The hotel was OK, a bit dated, it did have good lighting. We were told when we checked in to make sure we closed the doors behind us when entering and exiting the building as to prevent unwanted people entering in the building. Make me a bit nervous. Overall, was just an OK experience and I will not be returning to use the hotel again.

Be good if management issued fines to guests who return to property after midnight swearing and arguing. Went on for 15 mins woke everyone up.

Price reflects what you get...great cheap option!
This hotel is always a go to for cheap and great location. You get what you pay for...a tired hotel that does need a lot of maintenance and not always 100% clean, but not 100% dirty either. However for just a cheap in and out this is perfect. The staff are always polite and helpful, and car parking and breakfast is available. And for an old bathroom...the shower pressure was amazing!!
