Dear Erwin We are very pleased to hear that your children had a great time at our house. We have always tried to make it child (and parent!) friendly, with the pool, trampoline, swings, table tennis, foosball, toys, TV, and playroom. What really surprises us is that you found the house noisy. Yes, it is an old house – about 120 years old and built in the local Langhe stone. Almost all the walls are therefore 40-60cms thick and solid stone, which is the traditional way of building to keep the house warm in Winter and cool in Summer. Inevitably with modernisation to make it a comfortable home, some bathrooms have been added and those are made in the standard modern way of building. This could mean that the bathrooms are not as soundproof as the rest of the house, however they are no different to most modern houses. Yes, the location is wonderful, thank you for noting that. We are sorry that you found your trip expensive. We get a lot of bookings at the rates advertised and according to the booking website our rates are commensurate with other properties in the area. Perhaps you meant the local area - we haven’t been able to get out there recently due to covid and wonder if local businesses have put their prices up - they certainly have in London. We have some great tips for affordable eateries in the guest book. We often buy from the local supermarket and amazing butcher and cook at home. We really appreciate your feedback on this. Met betrekking tot de wifi zijn we geabonneerd op de beste satellietservice die beschikbaar is, maar we hebben een paar weken last gehad van lage snelheden. We hebben contact gehad met de provider en de resultaten van de snelheidstest gestuurd en we zijn er zeker van dat de service snel weer normaal zal zijn. Lieber Gabriel Zunächst einmal vielen Dank, dass Sie unser Haus für Ihren Urlaub gebucht haben und für Ihren Kommentar über den Außenbereich mit Gärten, Speiseterrasse, Trampolin, Tischtennis, Fussball, Hängematten, Kräutergarten, Obstbäumen, privatem Pool, Außenlounge, Feuerstelle, Hof und abgeschlossenem Parkplatz. Es tut uns sehr leid, dass unser Zuhause in einigen Bereichen nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprach. Ich möchte, Sie wissen lassen, dass wir uns mit jedem einzelnen Ihrer Kommentare auseinandergesetzt haben. Das Haus ist in der Tat charmant, wie Sie sagen; La Casa Pietra ist ein 120 Jahre altes traditionelles Bauernhaus mit 60 cm dicken Langhe-Steinmauern und Holzläden an den Fenstern, die die Hitze an heißen Sommertagen fernhalten. Wenn die Fensterläden geöffnet sind, ist das Haus hell, aber an heißen Sommertagen bleiben sie am besten geschlossen. Unsere Reinigungskräfte gehören zu einer einheimischen Familie, die seit 8 Jahren mit uns zusammenarbeitet. Sie reinigen das Haus jede Woche von oben bis unten, einschließlich aller Geschirr-, Besteck- und Kochutensilien. Sie fegen auch alle Spinnweben ab und saugen und wischen alle Böden. Ich kann es mir nur so erklären, dass beim jeweiligen gründlichen Reinigungsprozess doch etwas übersehen wurde und ich entschuldige mich dafür. Ich hatte eine lange Diskussion mit unseren Reinigungskräften und wir haben die Notwendigkeit für 100% perfekte Ergebnisse bekräftigt. Nochmals, es tut mir ausserordentlich leid, dass Ihre Erfahrung nicht zu 100% so war, wie Sie es erwartet hatten. Wir haben rund 50 Bewertungen von anderen Gästen, die alle begeistert waren. Obwohl wir Ihre Bewertung sehr ernst genommen und die möglichen Probleme angesprochen haben, sind wir dennoch zuversichtlich, unseren Gästen einen schönen Familienurlaub bieten zu können. Wir bitten unsere Gäste routinemäßig, unseren Hausverwalter vor Ort zu informieren, wenn sie mit etwas nicht zufrieden sind, damit alle Angelegenheiten sofort bereinigt werden können. Es ist schade, dass Sie Ihre Bedenken während Ihres Aufenthalts nicht sofort geäußert haben, denn sie hätten noch am gleichen Tag behoben werden können.

Dear Cynthia Thank you for the review of our home in Italy. We are so sorry that some aspects of your stay detracted from your enjoyment of the villa. With respect to the cleanliness, this is something we value highly and we are upset that during your stay the job had clearly not been performed to our usual high standards. We will take steps to correct this immediately, including increasing our post-cleaning checks in all the rooms and providing new cloths for each guest stay. The coffee maker is a new one bought just before your arrival, so I am sorry to hear it did not make good coffee for you, we will have a close look at this for the future. Our local Manager, David usually pops by on the first morning to check that everything is OK for new guests, and I understand he dropped by with some other information on the second day. We are very sorry that you felt this was an intrusion, generally we are very discreet and mindful of guests need for total relaxation and privacy. With respect to bugs, of course they are a general feature in rural areas, but this year there was a higher than usual count due to rain in late Summer. It was kind of you to point out our well-equipped kitchen, the lovely pool, the quiet rural location and rustic character of the villa. Once again, we are sorry this time was not perfect for you and your guests.
