Flott beliggenhet og god service. Det lukter noe fukt i gangene og til dels på rommet. Hotellet barer preg av slitasje, men vi trivdes der uansett.

Before I start the criticism the staff were amazing especially Barry at the front desk . However the bedrooms were not 4* . We had standard rooms suitable for disabled. They were situated a long way from the lift. There was no luggage rack because we had a standard room . We also had to ask for a second chair. The body wash was empty . Couldn’t get through on phone to ask for more so had to go to reception where Barry dealt with it . Very limited restaurant menu for lunch and dinner although breakfast was very good in the room there are no power points by the bed . We had to hunt for two points one hidden by television and one near the floor. No drawers for storage. For 3* acceptable not 4

Hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean, and reception staff were brilliant. Breakfast room staff on the other hand, were very abrupt, and we felt hurried to leave, as soon as a plate was empty it was taken even when we were still finishing a mouthful of food. Also guests were asked to finish their tea/coffee in the reception area as tgd tables were wanted for other guests. Not ideal start to a day

The staff and service was amazing, and the was in good condition. Food was excellent. The room i had was clean, not one of the best rooms but certainly adequate, window looked out into a back area and needed a lot off attention, was not pleasant. The room had some minor problems, nowhere to hang your wet coat, no toilet brush and the annoying one there were no sockets by the bed so you could not charge your phone, nearest socket was the other side of the room, but overall it was a good stay

We stayed in a sea view room which was a nice size with lovely views but the windows were not soundproof or insulated so they were noisy and cold to sit by and kept me awake. Service was lacking at breakfast on the Tuesday morning and had to ask other guests where they got there cooked breakfast from as it wasn’t out for selection, so my husband asked someone cleaning tables and he asked us what we wanted! No choice given! Wednesday completely awful with a coach load of people in the very small breakfast room, we couldn’t move but were shown to seats buy a nice man and told it was self service, easier said than done with all the people I can tell you!! Unfortunately Tuesday when we got up the weather was horrible so we stayed in our room after breakfast and at 12 we went down to the bar to get lunch to find it shut till 4:30 so we had to brave the wind and rain to find some food! We then came back after a lot of walking to relax with a drink before dinner only to find the bar was now closed till 6pm all very frustrating! The hotel looks good but needs updating and better service. Three star rating at best! Car park too expensive too!

I reserved a room at the Mercure for my partner's birthday, and our experience from the moment we arrived was exceptional. The convenience of parking right next to the hotel was a plus. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hotel manager, Marta, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She presented my partner with a birthday card, chocolates, and a complimentary drink at the bar. The hotel itself was stunning, with impeccable cleanliness and thoughtful design touches. Our superior room exceeded expectations, boasting spaciousness and cleanliness. The bathroom, complete with a large shower and bath, was a highlight. Our balcony offered a lovely sea view and comfortable seating. Great room amenities, including air conditioning and a posh coffee machine. The reception desk staff were always available, although we found everything we needed already in place. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options and a picturesque sea view. The full English breakfast was one of the best ive had, the product was great quality and so fresh. The attentive staff again during breakfast meant we never went without. Overall, we couldn't find a fault with this hotel. It has now become our preferred choice for our visits to Brighton, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the lovely manager Marta, absolute first class service Thank you, Mercure, for making our stay so special. The hotel needs a serious refurb which is a shame as it’s in a great location. The best part of our trip was definitely the friendly and helpful staff.

The property needs refurbishing, carpets have massive dirt stains in them, windows and doors are really difficult to open and very old. Not enough parking. Staff are extremely pleasant and polite, it was a pleasure conversing with every member of staff. This was my fourth stay at this hotel normally I’m in the superior room with the biggest balcony, bit this time I was in the privilege room with a balcony I must admit I was gutted!!! But then I got used to the small space and the balcony and the views is lovely !
