One of the reasons we chosed this hotel was that breakfast was included. It was NOT. There were no fruit, no toast, no waffel, no youghurt, no juice - nothing. We could have one cup of coffee in the cafe owned by a private company next to the check-in desk. The most dissapointed experience during our visit to Boston. Remove "Breakfast included" from your webpage.

Our complimentary breakfast options allow many of our guests to have a quick to-go option for their busy mornings in our area but we understand that is not for everyone which is why we offer a discount on our cafe's entire menu throughout the day. You could hear everything the other guests were doing late at night. The manager was hostile at check out time because we use the bathroom in the last moment.

The Charlesmark is a great price point for the area. Rooms are small but clean and well-appointed. Water pressure was great and bed was comfortable and oversized mirror was a pleasant surprise. The cafe downstairs is adorable and has the best milkshakes. The building doesn't have proper insulation / soundproofing for a hotel so you can hear everything everywhere. Overall, great stay and would stay there again.

This hotel is very well located with restaurants and shops close by. Great staff. My only point is the size of the room and bed. It is the smaller hotel and room I have ever stayed in the US. The bed is not even queen, so think about it if you travel in 2.

Unusual older small hotel, pictures accurate. Small rooms but updated. Location marvelous. Breakfasts are croissants and coffee/tea, very yummy. We ordered the waffle breakfast to share. So good

I loved staying at the Charlesmark. It was charming, the staff was helpful. Coffee and croissants were available in the morning. It was quiet when I was there, but could hear my neighbors come in and out. The mini-fridge, ironing board, etc. were great touches. Thank you!

They provide free coffee and some pastries in the morning. They also have a patio for guests to eat on. There are a lot of shops nearby and the best thing was that there is a huge supermarket in a walking distance.

Great location across from the Boston Public Library -- I know the block and had no idea there was a hotel about the width of a knifeblade in it. We had a super view down onto the street. It wasn't as noisy as I worried. The restaurant downstairs was really good for dinner. Breakfast was limited but the coffee was free and there were OK choices a few feet away on the street. We will certainly stay there again.

Hotel is in a fantastic location, you can walk to theater district, Boston Common, North End, or Fenway. Rooms are small but quaint, bathroom could have been cleaner. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

My stay at the CharlesMark hotel was splendid. I arrived with my hire car and could temporarily park it in front of the hotel to unload my luggage and settle into my room. No rush. The hotel has a Carpark arrangement with great discount which only costed me $20 for almost 24 hours and only 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The restaurant connected to the hotel has some lovely (oriental) food and friendly staff and as I had travelled from Europe I was happy not to have to look for a restaurant somewhere else. Breakfast was exactly what I needed, some tea and a few croissants, free of charge even. There is such a relaxed atmosphere around the place with really lovely and helpful staff. Location is fabulous in the Backbay area, I love architecture and the next morning I walked towards the old Marlborough and Beacon Streets, what a feast for the eyes.

The Charlesmark is a cute little place, with a diner and cafe conveniently located downstairs. Close walking to lots of places, including the subway and the convention center.

Great location if you want to be in the Copley Square area. The hotel is descent if you need somewhere for one night. The rooms are very dated but just fine if you only need it to sleep. Now sleep…the pillows are so bad, ugh. Upgrading those pillows would be a huge satisfier. The room we were in, 301, had an amazingly loud BOOM, every time the heat shifted (about once an hour), that was interesting lol. The shower pooled about 2 inches a water within a minute and stayed there consistently during shower time (we did share this with the front desk at check out). We booked last minute and paid $203 for the night out the door. Fairly cheap for the area so I’d stay again if it was only for one night and I didn’t plan on staying in the room other than to sleep. Also, the cable box didn’t work when we first got to the room. The front desk called Comcast and got it fixed for us quick.

The restaurant had great food. The room was comfortable. But there was no view except a brick wall. Also, house keeping started at 5 am and made lots of noise.
