Et godt hotel for store og små!
Nydelig frokost! Ble godt ivaretatt og sett av hele betjeningen under hele oppholdet. Kunne vært 2 gode stoler på rummet! En hyggelig liten overraskelse på sengen hver dag. Friskt (gratis) flaskevann under hele oppholdet. Et stille hotell hvor det er mulig å ta seg inn - etter besøk i en støyende storby! Nydelige uteområder.

I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and that, in particular, breakfast and the location of the Hotel stood out for you. We offer a turndown service in the evening that does include a "little something" to help you relax before you go to bed. Apologies for there being only one chair in your bedroom, but without knowing which room you stayed in it is difficult to comment. Some of our rooms, admittedly, are not large enough to have two armchairs but most do. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope we will see you again soon at Laura Ashley The Manor, Elstree. En fantastisk hotellopplevelse
Jeg fikk et "dårlig" rom nede i kjelleren, likevel var det helt fantastisk! Hotellet ligger i nydelige landlige omgivelser, men det tar ca 20 min å gå ned til Borehamwood og deretter 25 min med tog inn til London. Hotellet var nydelig og servicen upåklagelig. Kan trygt anbefales.

When checking in, they gave me a keycard that didn’t work. Went back to reception to have it fixed, went back to the room to find out it’s occupied. Now I’m going back to the reception a 2nd time to get another room. This time the keycard worked and the room was not occupied. Adding on top of this, I was already tired from a day of traveling and moving around. I had to lug my baggage around a couple of times at the hotel just to get a room. The hallways to your room is dark until you walk through and it lights up. If you get scared easy by creepy vibes, I would avoid this place. Parking is not guaranteed since they host events so the parking area can be filled up but will open up by evening time. I want to like this place but I just can’t.

Property was perfect for our trip to surrounding area, lovely hotel however, needs a bit of TLC. The room was nice but needed updating, with a lick of paint in the bathroom on window ledges, and furnishings were a bit dated, and in need of replacement. The staff seemed a bit disorganised with a conference and charity fundraiser on going, waited 15 mins to check in, tea and coffee supplies in room were scant, but not essential. Breakfast was good, the coffee machine was being used by everyone in conference and breakfast so took eternity for coffee, then water and milk, cups ran out. Overall nice stay and would stay again. 👍

This lovely old manor has so many original features. The decoration is a little tired but does not detract from the lovely hotel. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were all fantastic. The breakfast, though very tasty, was luke warm.

The manager Jason was very rude, terrible customer service. Rang the day before checking in to ensure what I read online was correct. Don't google checking in time, it says 2pm but check in is 3pm. Was promised a room with a balcony, which I didn't get. The first thing I noticed when going into the room was a dirty throw blanket with stains on it at the foot of the bed. As you could imagine this instantly gave me dirty feeling in the room. The telephone to call reception didn't even work so I had to use my own Mobile phone to call them. I understand it's a "vintage" style hotel, but it definitely needs renovating. It has the smallest TV in the room so far away from the bed that it was pointless having it. Also the remote barely worked. Needless to say, I did not stay the night. Upon checking out one of the staff members was actually quite nice and didn't charge for the bottle of water I ordered to the room. (Never been to a hotel that charged for still water except for this place) Would I return? NO! I would have had better service and cleanliness in a B&B or even a travelodge!

Situated in beautiful grounds and the property in good condition. Sadly the stairs were very steep for old people like us but we understand that no lift could be installed, but we were forewarned about this and the hotel were very cooperative.

Ok but can be better
I book a quick stay. Never cost much and I have stayed at this hotel before. But this time in was in a room with a name. It was very old fashion a small Phillips Tv that you had to lie at an angle to watch and did have all the Channels. Me and my partner are not big but this bed was a very small double I probably would have been better off in my own bed very uncomfortable bed wasn’t the best experience at all.

old tired and needs refresh
tired and badly in need of a refresh. Carpet is dirty and bare , curtains torn furniture is sad. Major issue is no elevator , hotel is not handicapped friendly

Beautiful and historical manor, on a very nice and green property. The area is quiet and slightly outside the city chaos! The breakfast and the Christmas decorations were truly a highlight for us. Jo, at the reception, made sure everything was perfect. Parking was super convenient, but driving in London can be challenging so we took the public transport, which was a 5-min cab ride (6£) 20-min train OR a 10-min walk 5-min bus 20-min train. Highly recommend!

I had high hopes for the hotel when we arrived - the impressive manor and charming, cosy communal areas are very atmospheric. Unfortunately the rooms let it down - they are in an annex separate from the manor itself and are small, tired and over-priced. That said the bed was comfortable and the staff nice. Set expectations accordingly.

Poorly maintained rooms. In desperate need for renovation. Unhelpful staff when we complained about the faulty heating on the first night. Torn curtains, dirty chairs and leak in the ceiling. Less than one star property.

Wouldn’t stay here again
Beds were so saggy in the middle and so soft had to sleep on the duvet. Got very limited sleep! No bins in the bathroom and very slippery in the bathroom even with the bath mat in it. Spoke to the receptionist on check out and they offered us a bacon and egg sandwich to go and when opened the egg sandwich had a hair within it!! Wouldn’t stay here again!

Wonderful stay
Wonderful stay at the Manor Elstree. The receptionist was absolutely fantastic upon arrival. We were running late and had a small amount of time to get ready for our event. She took care of our taxi, ordered us room service and because of her extra efforts and professionalism, we arrived well in time for our event stress free. All the staff during breakfast were friendly and professional; we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Beautifully designed room and dinning area and very clean but room was cold at night and radiator didn't work and breakfast in the morning was not satisfactory with small portions and over cooked bacon of full English wasn't really good felt it was very over priced for what it was.

The property was quite dirty and in need of repair. The paint was peeled, furniture broken and the toilet was a weird spray electric bidet that didn't work. We were in 3 rooms and two had been seemingly upgraded but mine hadn't unfortunately.
