«Lorna and her family are beautiful people. The Gemstones Property is high on a hill overlooking the most beautiful beach (Cross Bay) During our stay we basically had the beach to ourselves. The walk to beach from Gemstones is fairly steep but there are two other routes. It’s not an issue to sway a decision to stay here. We stayed 10 days and our taxi driver Belinda who is a beautiful person stopped in route to gemstone from airport at supermarket so we could buy food, beer and wine etc. We ...

«Fantastic location in the village, beautiful view of Mangrove Bay. Very clean with amenities close by. As well, the bus is across the street to take you to Hamilton or Dockyard. Jody is a wonderful host and very attentive. We’ve stayed here 2 years in a row and look forward to returning again. Highly recommend.»

Excellent value for the amount of space (I was upgraded from a studio to full apartment) of the accommodation. Regrettably, dining options/grocery store were not within walking distance, however, the additional fee for the airport transfer (arranged by the host) included a stop at grocery store - which was extremely helpful. «It was just me staying for a couple nights before getting on a boat. There is a bus stop 3 houses away from the property. A walking path along the ocean which was amazing. Swizzle Inn only a mile away......I walked! The place is perfect for a couple or single. Has everything you need and then some!»

«The studio is fully equipped and is well stocked including kitchen basics, toiletries and towels. Gail and Chris are easy going hosts, point you in the right direction and don’t hover. Notes from former guests are welcome. The only issue for us was transportation as we were relying on the bus system which runs from stops just down the hill but doesn’t run at night. «An absolutely gorgeous location just below the Gibbs Lighthouse with equally gorgeous views in all directions. «This property is very well maintained and the location is good. I will note that the walk from the rental to the main road to catch the bus is more like a 15 minute walk. The owner of the property is very personable and super nice. He gave us a ride from the grocery store back to the rental which was awesome since our bags were really heavy. I would recommend this vacation property to anyone wishing to visit Bermuda.»

«This property is situated a 15 minutes walk from the beach Horseshoe Bay, and many other lovely beaches. The busstopp is right outside, and the buses take you to the city of Hamilton in 25 minutes, going every 30 minutes. We bought buscards which also included the ferries, so we made it easily around this beautiful island. Friendly hosts!»
