Peaceful resort, close to Male airport
We went to Bandos for a nine-day couple vacation. We had high expectations, which were all met. Great atmosphere, attentive staff, good food with a lot of variation, several nice restaurants, an amazing room and finally a spa with unmatched tranquility. We had the sunset over water villa (room 135) for the full duration of our stay. The villa provides ultimate privacy, amazing sea views and a veranda with direct access to the house reef. Many exotic underwater sea life species made snorkeling at Bandos a great experience. The boat transfer from Male international airport takes only 15 minutes.

The place is beautiful and very nice. It is also very easy to get there since they pick you by boat at the airport. Only about 30 minuts trips compared to some other islands where you need a seaplane. The service of the staff is very varying. Some of the very well trained and some of them doesnt seem to care så much. In most resorts where it is all inclusive option, you normaly get tired of the food after a while. In Bandos unfortenately that happend a little to quick. The food is ok but i have eperienced much better food in resorts in Maldives. The thing that surprised me most is what is covered in the all inclusive. I was very dissapointed and if i had known how small the all inclusive options was, we would just go for the full board or maybe even just half board. Still over all a very beautiful place for an okay price.

Most amazing hotel!
This must be the best hotel/resort I've ever stayed at. Not only was the area, food and room amazing. But the staff was so nice. The only thing I wold like to mention is that the wifi is not to great, so I've wold recommend to buy a SIM card at the airport when you arrive if you want to have internet all the time.

Our stay at Bandos was unfortunately not what we expected from a luxury holiday. Despite paying for all-inclusive, it was far from it. Freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, milkshakes, beachside snacks, and a-la-carte dining were all extra costs. Drinks included in the package were not covered in paid restaurants after 6 pm, which was bizarre. The cocktails were poorly mixed and all drinks were often lukewarm. The buffet(only place to dine with AI) had major food hygiene issues: the open-air setting allowed flies to touch the food, and fresh items like fruits and salads were not refrigerated. We mostly ate toast and beans for breakfast and paid for lunch and dinner because of this. The 'afternoon tea' offered a small toasted sandwich and fries, and once our sandwich had plastic in it, to which we received a mere "oh, sorry.". The selection of beachside drinks was limited and confusing. Drinks allowed at the beach bar were not allowed on sun loungers just a meter away. Service was another letdown. Menus were often not brought promptly, and servers rarely returned after taking the first order. We felt more like annoyances than customers. However, service in the paid Grill and Umiyaki restaurants was excellent, as was the staff at the dive center. Our room was comfortable but showed signs of wear and tear, with marks on fabrics and chips in countertops. Hand soap was not replenished, and one day we only received one bath towel for two people. Would reccomend looking elsewhere

The Hotel is very nice and comfortable, it is relatively close to the airport. The island is beautiful, simply spectacular. One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. Regarding the food, I give it a 5/5, delicious. We paid for all inclusive and every day there was something new on the menu. We were there in November and the weather was spectacular, simply perfect. What I didn't like was the customer service of certain employees, for example we would arrive at a bar and it was like they ignored us. “they don't really greet you.” You ask them for a drink and they take a lot of time preparing it. Like I said only certain employees, the rest are extremely nice and friendly and kind. This place is very quiet so there isn't really night life although there are bands playing at night, but this is not the place to party. This is the perfect place to relax. As a recommendation, they shouldn't put plastic plants, it damages the decoration, it would be better without it.

We went for a week and bought all inclusive package thinking it will be good, our package had some water sports included but everytime we went they were unavailable. Usually all inclusive have atleast non alcoholic drinks included but here only some soft drinks and juices were included. We requested the booking department to decor our room at arrival for our honeymoon and they confirmed us but when we arrived their was no decoration and instead they put a fruits saying this is decoration lol not worth the price we paid. Will definitely try different resort next time.

ダイビングセンターが、充実している。スタッフは、親切で初心者の私をしっかりサポートしてくれた。 ただ、3回のダイビングとシュノーケリングを通して、バンドス周辺の海はやや透明度が低下しているのかも知れないと言う印象を受けた。 バンドスは大きなリゾートで宿泊者数が多い為、ビーチチェアの数が足りていない。日陰の海辺で良い場所にビーチチェアを確保する為には、朝一に場所取りに行く方が良い。 バンドスは、首都マレに近いせいか、上空を飛ぶ飛行機が多く、静かなリゾートとは、言い難い。 チェックアウト前日の朝にオーダーしたランドリー(通常、同じ日に帰ってくる)が翌日の出発直前まで帰って来ないトラブルに見舞われた。ランドリー窓口のハウスキーピングに電話しても、レセプションに電話しても、”確認して届けさせる”と言う返事が帰ってくるだけで、ランドリーは届けられ無かった。止むなく、ランドリーが無いまま、荷物のパッキングを終えて、チェックアウトした。マレ行きの船の出発直前にランドリーは届けられて、事無きを得たが、この間、3回電話をし、何れの対応者も、ハウスキーピングに確認して届けさせると言うだけで、結果の確認をしていない事と、組織内で横の連絡が全く出来ていない事が明らかに成った。

The staff at Bandos are always super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel like a welcomed guest. The rooms are really clean and the housekeeping staff are very attentive. Lohan and the rest of the restaurant staff and cook do an amazing job. The service is great and the food is really really good and they have a great selection.

The island exceeded my expectations. Beautiful beaches, wonderful service, good food, activities for kids, safe and quiet, great pool also. The staf was wonderful, very friendly, helpful and respecful, special thanks to Suraj at the pool :) The trip to Male was great aswell. Bandos island was family oriented and me and my daughter had one really amazing holiday. Hope will come back again someday.

Cleaning environment, quiet and conveniency. What I don’t like commuting from room without transportation especially my room being far away. I had to walk 10 to 15 mins to dining and to main office. The first day I came I had wait for an 1hr before the boat could move Because we had to wait for another travelers. Which is not nice. I had long flights of 19hrs.

Nice resort but definitely not close to 5 stars. Four stars at best. Our beach villas were spacious but old and tired-looking. Toiletries were so bad (big jars of shampoo and shower gel, no hair conditioner) that we had to buy our own. Food was the weakest of other Maldivian hotels/resorts we've experienced: limited choices of dishes, almost no fruits and very few vegetables, not very tasty. The a-la carte restaurants were better. Positives: very nice spa at reasonable prices.Great diving center. Many private beach areas with lovely views, never felt crowded. Overall this is very nice resort if you plan on a 4-star vacation and pay decent price.

Staff, were very friendly throughout, also very helpful and knowledgeable when we asked questions. Food was good and service came with a smile. Room was fine, but not luxurious, but then we didn’t expect it to be so no problems there. All inclusive was nice to have. House reef was nice, lots of fish and sharks to see and it was right on our doorstep Special thanks to our waitress and waiters with whom we had a good chat each day.
