Hyggelig opphold
Vi er en familie på fem som hadde et fint opphold i Auckland på City Oaks. Vi synes det var flotte rom i leiligheten,hyggelig betjening og service. Frokosten var grei. Vi likte tilbudet med treningsrom. Tjenesten med kjøring til hotelet fra flyplassen var litt oppskrytt, for det fungerte som en hvilken som helst drosje, vi trodde det var en tjeneste de tilbydde. Vi kunne bodd der igjen

Auckland city Oaks was perfect for our one night stay in Auckland. The room had good facilities (a small kitchen with a stove top, pots and pans etc...), and it's close to the city center.

Midt i "plummen"
Hotellet ligger sentralt i Auckland like ved tårnet. Lett tilgang til buss. Hotellet var rent og pent og likeså var rommene. Rommene hadde et lite kjøkken der det var anledning til å "forfriske" seg litt. Vi var veldig fornøyde. Det var en nydelig spasertur til museet og parken omkring. Det er heller ikke ofte en kan gå fra kyst til kyst i en by. Vi har ingen ting å klage på- ikke en gang været!

My stay at this hotel was great except for the cleanliness. The sink was covered in brown sticky liquid, the tables were dusty, the toilet had rubbish on the floor and in the shower from the last person.

It was totally disgusting. It was so dirty, the walls were sticky, the floor was sticky, the shower glass was milky with grime...all round, awful. It was a huge safety concern as there were shower caps covering all the fire alarms. I was recovering from an operation and under doctors' advice was told I should not stay there. I only stayed for one night of my booking and had to find other accommodation. They would not refund me and because of that I did not actually cancel my booking because I did not want them having the benefit of renting to someone else.

The lady’s at the front desk were lovely,and very helpful.when we got up to our room there was paint missing on the walls,the toilet buttons only one worked to flush,missing cooking utensils,plates had chips out of them,there was no tea towels or dish washing soap to wash our dishes also the sink facet was super loose so wasn’t ideal to do any cleaning in the sink,there is stains on the carpets and yellow marks on the mattress that we slept on over all I probably wouldn’t bring my family back to stay,I highly recommend the vr on queen street though

The positive side of this hotel are the location and budget friendly. However, the security is not good, drunk people will yelling on the 1st floor and beware if you are travel alone as me. Staff is polite but they wont really pay attention to their guest. As there is no notice card given to show “do not disturb”, I inform the front desk personally that I dont need any staff to clean up my room during my stay. However, once I get back to my room, staff has still come inside to have the room service.

Unfortunately when I checked in the toilet was dirty, the kitchen bin had not been emptied from the previous stay and smelt and we were only provided one towel for 3 guests.

I was pretty disappointed in staying here for how much we spent. The first room we were in there was no cover on the aircon vent, the kitchen sink faucet was not secured, the fridge was missing a foot and therefore wobbly and most importantly the aircon wasn't working. We changed rooms and in that room the soap dispenser was mostly pulled off the wall, all the bottles were empty with full bottles sitting on the shelf (as if that staff couldn't figure out how to change them), there was no cover on the key pad, and there were toenail clippings on the carpet suggesting it hadn't been vacuumed. We accepted these faults but still not overly impressive.

We paid for an extra bed and that was put up, when we queried it we were told it we hadn’t paid for it but in the morning we were told we did and that we would receive a refund but didn’t. There were only 2 towels, no milk, and cigarette butts all on the balcony.

At night , no staff at the check in counter , course of the filght arrival at 2235 , we show up hotel around 11pm ,but we can’t see and contact any staff, after 15-20 mins ,should be a indian staff show up and ask me is it check in.

Not bad for an overnight stay. The glasses and plates etc were dirty when we got there, but we couldnt use the dishwasher as it was jammed shut and couldnt open. Parking system was great once we got manually let in as our swipes never worked. The location was great.

The apartment was in poor condition and not cleaned very well. Badly patched holes on the walls, missing extraction grate above the shower with duct tape where it was once stuck. Beds haven’t been vacuumed under in awhile, curtains coming off the tracks. General rundown condition. For the price of the apartment this was very disappointing.

We couldn’t use our bathroom sink all weekend as it was broken. Even when we went to reception to see if someone could take a look no one did during our stay. Our bed sheets were dirty, and there were cans of beer all under the bed from the guests prior. When I went to check out I mentioned this to the staff and said it just wasn’t good enough considering we paid money to stay, I was assured someone would contact me to discuss this and still not a single phone call. Dirty rooms and poor communication.

Room was decent, although sheets had stains on them (blood an something else??). No parking was available had to park down a hill an walk up with our bags. Front desk night staff was not helpful when querried about parking he just said call the car park number an that was it no other help offered.
