«Super hosts who met us on arrival to show us around and answered any questions immediately such as places to eat and things to do. They also rustled up some decaf coffee for us. Everything was well stocked and it was very cozy and comfy. It is very comforting that the bath has grab bars and a rubber mat. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood with big tall trees and lots of green but still close to a main artery for good access to everything. An added plus is that there are fire/police ...

«Family came to OBX for a wedding & LOVED this house rental! Clean, safe, gated neighborhood & kind neighbors. Virginia was excellent communicator & anticipated our needs. Kitchen was nicely stocked & had a nice table for us to eat/play games. Dock was fun for my kids to fish & kayak’s AWESOME!! Would definitely come again. Thank you!»

«The First Colony Inn is a lovely old property in a great location for visiting the Outer Banks. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Buffet breakfast choices were very good and the hot option varied each day. There's a wonderful beach opposite the inn and a good selection of restaurants and shops nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.»

«Everything the owners stated was 100% accurate. We were 8 adults and 2 children and everyone had a fantastic and relaxing time. Any issues where immediately rectified and there were very few. We absolutely loved it.»

We had an oceanfront room and the view was amazing! The food in the restaurant, especially the steak, was the best we had on our 4 day stay in Kill Devil Hills! Recommend! »

The communication of the exact location and amenities that were available to us, or rather unavailable, was lacking, making the trip a bit stressful as we had to resort to multiple different parties to ask questions. The check out instructions were unclear as well with no way to clarify them. »

«We stay here every time we travel to the Outer Banks. It is a small older hotel. It is clean, the staff is friendly, breakfast is standard hotel breakfast, it is good always well stocked. This hotel is convenient to everything we enjoy while in the area. Close to good restaurant's. We will be back»
