The facilities were good and very well maintained, The hotel staff were courteous and ever ready to assist. On a negative note, the room heater wasn't working but we were given not too effective stand alone heaters in replacement. overall i will not hesitate to recommend Mado hotel ti others!

I have not even used the room because the bedsheet was dirty and i found lice on it. The receptionist offered me the bedsheet change but I can I sleep on I bed that has lice. It is just west of money.

Won't be back
So many problems with this place. I wont be back: Breakfast: 2 /10, just poorly made food with bad taste. Coffee is sour. Rooms: 4/10 a lot of maintenance needed in the rooms. Things falling apart, TV signal is weak, soap and shampoo is like water. Beds were ok. Service: 1/10 I ordered room service and paid in my room when i got a receipt. The staff took the money (with a 15% tip) and then on check out I was told that i should pay for the same room service. The hotel staff aparently thought my entire payment was a tip. Otherwise staff are extremely weak in speaking English which makes mlst things difficult. In general i would expect thus standard for a rate of 50-60 USD per night. This hotel is not worth the price.

We arrived and we got the room immediately we left for sightseeing and when we back we were tired and we found the bed broken it is took them two hours to give us another room with sink leaking

A Good Cozy Stay
Hotel is very nice. Staff is cooperative. Since Addis is cool most of the years the Hotel room AC should have warm temperature control. Even after keeping the AC at Fan mode on low speed & setting the temp at 29 the room was too cold for me. Also, they should increase menu items for room service. Put some rice dishes in veg & nonveg. 2 water bottles of 500ml are not enough. Menu in breakfast should be increased. Breakfast juices should be tasted before keeping them. Anyways the stay was good I would say. Would recommend to others too.

I stayed 1 night at Mado hotel, my stay overall was good, location is very convenient to the airport, shops and restaurants, the staff members are very polite and helpful from beginning to the end, breakfast buffet was good, normal checking time is 2pm but they allowed me to checking in at around 11am and which was fantastic! I will definitely stay here on my next trip. And I highly recommend if you stay in Addis area for business or leisure.

everything was great. the room was really clean and had everything we needed such as slippers. The bed was extremely comfortable and had good pillows too. the shower was really nice and easy to control the temperature which is not always the case in Ethiopia. Breakfast was excellent and everything was fresh and well presented. We also used the spa for a massage which was good as was dinner in the restaurant, very tasty indeed.

Nice, but needs better breakfast choices
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, nice location for restaurants and coffee shops (if you are a coffee lover then you should try Tomoka across the street from the hotel). On the downside, that area could be noisy, and their breakfast has very limited choices (does not go with the standard of the hotel)
