Room was fine. Got there about seven but no one to check me in, just a note on the office door. Internet didn’t work. No one to check me out in the morning.

The lady at reception, Vera, was very cheerful and helpful. The motel itself was perfectly acceptable for the price we paid. We had a nice hot shower, heating for a cold night and a comfortable bed. The bed linens are old, but clean, and the room pleasantly decorated with homely touches. The room was not dusty musty and didn't smell of toxic carpet cleaner, as so many older motels do, so we were happy.

An old facility, but very clean and quaintly decorated. It was more like staying in a friends live-in suite.

My room is absolutely charming and lives up to the motel's name - rustic! I love the pinecone theme, and everything is so accommodating, right down to the coffee. This is my second stay, and I am sure there will be more!

Liked the old school look of it. The office was closed when I arrived. Taped to the door was a note identifying my room. Didn't care for the announcement of what room I was in. Otherwise, great stay.

The nice in a small town Ely
The staff did everything to ensure that we were satisfied, and we never saw each other - this is a great skill. The room is cozy. Refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. We were there in warm weather, but the room is ready for the harsh winter. The downside was that we needed more than a couple of pillows, but there were more than enough blankets and towels.

Really weird arrival at the motel - note on door for Lorraine W. room 2 and 'Mary room 1'; all others, no more rooms available. Huh? The sign said open, but the office was locked. I went to the room, and there it sat - open with the key and my sales receipt to be signed on the table. The problem was that the office was locked, and I had no access to the ice machine. As for the room, it was all I expected, which was fine.

Lorraine, The reason the door was locked we sometimes have to work in the back or leave for lunch the ice machine was room was the door next to your room with a sign as well. We apologize for all the inconvenience it may have caused you.

Great road stop motel
Perfect roadside motel stop. Comfortable room. Plenty of dinner options nearby. A bit of hwy 50 traffic noise but the AC helped to drown it out. Price is right for a quick stop. We also visited the railway museum which is worth it.

Great room for the money
Very nice room for the price. Well kept, old school motel. Room was well appointed and clean. Had a refrigerator, microwave and a good air conditioner. Will stay again.

I travel at least twice a year from CA to CO to visit my grandchildren via Hwy 50 & stay in Ely,NV. I used to stay at a local chain motel, but after staying at Rustic Motel, I’ll be staying there from now on. Price is great & I like the small, cozy atmosphere.

Would definitely stay there again. It is an older motel, but appeared to be fairly recently renovated. It was extremely clean, convenient and comfortable. The only thing I'd suggest to the owners is to consider investing in new linens- nothing is more welcoming to a weary traveler than crisp sheets and comfortable pillows, and the ones we had were a bit worn.

The Rustic Inn might have been a great place to stay. From the outside, it looked clean, and the people we dealt with were very very nice. Expedia, however, dropped the ball, big time, confirming our reservation when the hotel head that confirmed it. We arrived at 8 PM without a hotel room.

I liked the motel enough that I opted to stay there again during my return trip. The rooms are clean and comfortable, at least for a single traveler. The price is excellent for a room with a queen bed, with a small fridge and microwave in the room, along with a couple bottles of water for travelers. They have a tiny ice maker in the main office - barely enough for a cup of ice - but it was enough for me. There are places to eat nearby, and a grocery store about a mile away.

OFFICE WAS LOCKED WHEN WE ARRIVED. HAD TO CALL A NUMBER WAITED TILL THE RONT DESK LADY CAME BACK FROM LUNCH. SHE ASKED FOR THE PAYMENT TO BE IN CASH, THE CARD PROCESSING SERVICE WAS DOWN. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN.COULDN'T SLEEP ALL NIGHT BEACAUSE NEXT ROOM PERSON SNORED AND TALKED IIN HIS SLEEP. THE ROOM IS SMALL AND ODDLY LAYED OUT WITH THE AC UNIT NEX T TO THE BED ONLY 3 FFEET WAY. WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN
