Great location closed to lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful, especially the spa which I would recommend access to. The staff were all very helpful, specifically the concierge team that made some bookings and gave us great suggestions. We were very grateful for a complimentary upgrade to a lovely executive room.

18 Feb 2020Go early to avoid the crowds- we had the place almost to ourselves at 9.30 including the walk across the bridge.

21 Jan 2020Be aware that the military museum thats part of the astle complex advertises that its open on Sundays, but when we went on a Sunday it was closed

7 Oct 2019Make sure this is open - when we went in October it was changed into a art gallery. Also closes for tickets at 5pm so make sure you are there beforehand. Can walk/get a bus easily enough.
