The location is very good. Close to old town center. Bus stops also nearby. Hotel room is very clean and nicely designed. Also very quiet so I slept very well. Highly recommend for anyone who visits Bern to stay in here.

The room was very comfortable with A/C. The breakfast was continental as expected with a wide choice of food and drinks and staff were very good without exception. There are no beverage making facilities in the room but there is a 24 hour facility in reception.

Bern a beautiful City
The Prizeotel is a little outside the town centre however the bus stops right outside the hotel and runs every few minutes, nice breakfast and a supermarket next door for pastries if you prefer, the staff are very helpful and there is a really nice rooftop bar which gives you a really nice view. The Bear Pit is a must see and is only a 10 minute walk away where this is also a nice restaurant with local cuisine and local beers. Bern is a really nice city and the hotel is very convenient to get in and out of to see the sights.

AC has been broken for at least a couple months, according to previous reviews. (I’ve a sensitivity to overly warm conditions and get migraines so ALWAYS need and make sure there is AC) and small window were unable to be opened except for 6” at the top slantwise. Asked for even a small fan to draw in air - nothing. Asked for another room - was told no. Asked for even a discount - no. Btw, safety wise, no one could get out of the room except thru hallway. Confusing layout, got trapped in stairwell trying to get to lobby for another room key (reser. was for 2, only 1 key given at check in, unnoticed by us) and left that one since other key was needed to run the lights, etc.) Stark to the point of uncomfortable, decor wise and amenity wise.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Great view from rooftop bar. Staff very friendly. Convinient location and easy to get to. Bus stop right outside hotel. Buses run every 6 minutes or so all day long. With your stay you get free libero pass to use buses and trams to travel free in Bern. Easiest way to get around.

Bare bones hotel with no frills. Not even glasses to drink water or brush teeth with. But TV with English news. N towel rack heated. Go figure. Like free parking which is very rare for Swiss city hotels

This hotel has the potential to be 5 STARS. The breakfast is so so good, the hotel is straight forward, clean and spacious rooms. But it seems from all the reviews their AC is NOT working and they either fix it intermittently or are just lying to guests about how recently it broke. (they didn't even tell us at check in it was broken, I overheard someone else complaining and thats when they told us it broke the "same day" - other reviews from July and Aug also said it was broken tho...). Their only answer was to open the windows.... we were on the garden level and that made us uncomfortable. Also, be warned if you have any mobility limitations, our room had three steps and we would have preferred a different room as my mom has knee problems but we weren't even warned of this. like I said, it has the potential but having the heat we did, the lack of AC and even a basic fan made the stay very unenjoyable.

Clean modern hotel
Nice modern hotel, very clean. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. Windows are big and open to allow air flow. Located about 2 km uphill from city centre. Few amenities and no comfortable sitting area. Coop grocery store next door.

The time at the hotel would have been great except the air-conditioning broke the day we arrived and it was never fixed. It was a very hot period in Bern. Sleeping at night was miserable, very hot and leaving the windows open allowed flying bugs and bees to enter the room. Three nights with very poor sleep and the fourth, the weather cooled down a bit and it was more tolerable. Staff at the hotel was amazing, very friendly and helpful

Nice place to stay in Bern
Modern hotel, nice room and bathroom with air conditioning! There is bus just outside the hotel to take you to old town, free. Instead of paying for the expensive breakfast, there is supermarket right next to the hotel that has hot and cold breakfast items, and we were told we could have free coffee from the breakfast area. Parking was good, on-site

This hotel was very nice! The staff was friendly, and the hotel was in a good area with many nearby dining options, close to some tourist places such as Rosengarten and the Bear Pit, and was close to a grocery store which was right beside the hotel. The hotel room was also bigger than we expected and had plenty of open space!

The hotel has less charm than a university dorm. There are zero amenities in the room and some of the staff were less than helpful. There was also no cleaning service during our stay. That said, the roof terrace was nice and our room was light and spacious enough.

The air conditioning does not work and they know it. Rooms with a southern exposure are ovens on sunny days. I'm not used to hotels with absolutely no amenites: no phone for emergencies, no drinking glasses, not even paper cups, no fridge, etc. The staff are cheerful and helpful, but hotel is over priced.

Good value, spacious rooms
What strikes immediately is the size of the rooms who are basically stylishly converted flats in a purpose built residential block. Half the number of flats (those facing south) are still flats, with the separate hotel facing north (cool in summer!). The roof terrace with bar and views over the Alps is a must. For reasons of sustainability towels are only replaced if asked for by the guests, but that's done swiftly and friendly. The rooms and beds are really spacious (so there would be space enough for a second chair!!)

The hotel is only a 8 min bus ride away from Bern train station and downtown, bus runs every 5 mins and it free with The Bern Ticket so getting around is not an issue. The staff are so nice and the room is clean and large by European standard. Highly recommend!

The place is good, and very clean, but the amenities were average (no phone in the room). I have the service as rating of 1 - one of the staff members blamed me for "lying" without even doing any diligence. That was a bit racist and very rude.

Modern with fantastic rooftop bar.
The hotel room was clean, Modern and spacious. The roof top bar is spectacular with fantastic views. Breakfast buffet was very good. The city has free bus and tram using the Bern ticket. We took bus 10 from the SBB and the stop before the rose garden was right at the hotel.

Great location and super friendly staff. While most hotels have reduced daily cleaning, this hotel gave you a free drink at hotel bar for every day they skipped cleaning. Very creative. Oh down side AC was not working but the weather made things bearable.
