Marvellous view out of the window and balkony , bussation of public busses just next to the hotel, beach nearby, friendly staff, wich tried to give best advices and answers in many questions-a great stay

One night stay in Piraeus
Good one night stay. Checkin, front desk and all staff were great. Hotel was clean and room was comfortable. Location was good compared to Piraeus. Yes, the hotel is dated and could use some renovation but we would definitely stay again. Breakfast was a great addition.

Passable for an overnight on way to airport coming back from islands. Old hotel but clean beds, shower with breakfast. The beach below below looks beaten up. Supermarket next door and restaurants in port below in next bay beside beach.

Propery is pretty run down and needs serious rennovation work. It is stuck in the 80s.Cleanenliness was ok but th ac unit in our room had broken vents and was covered in dust. I doubt the filter was ever cleaned. Toilet seat was cracked and could not be cleaned properly. Same with shower curtain it didnt struck me as clean. Location is very nice but parking is an issue. Views are fantastic from our front room. I definitely wouldn't like to stay there for many nights. It's probably ok for a quick overnight stay to enjoy the view.

The hotel has its unique style .. I must be related to the fact that it has not been renovated for ages. But everything was functional and decent. The best thing was definitely the location and the city itself. There is a very well equipped supermarket next door. The room price was high for such standard but seems like that’s a normal price for such hotels in Athens and surrounding areas.

The people at the front desk was amazing. Helen was always willing and ready to help. Best customer service I received. Thumbs up to Helen and the others. However, the hotel is a bit run down could be a great hotel if it gets an upgrade. The wifi is very poor in there. There is a beach opposite the hotel but it needs to be cleaned, ppl dont clean up after their dogs there.There is a supermarket and a bus stop next door and lots of places to eat near by that you can walk too. Once this hotel is renovated it will be superb.

Great location, not so great hotel
The location is great, but the hotel and room leave a lot to be desired. The whole space is very outdated. The room was small, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the carpet and bathroom felt dirty. We got a room with a seaside view which was the only saving grace.

Cavo doro was the best location for the area a beautiful hotel lovely staff quite but central to the port of mikrolemano a fantastic harbour with great bars buzzing area

Ferry Strike Blues
We booked through your website, and was confirmed; when we got there, we were told they had NO ROOMS! After I told them I would not pay a non refundable charge, they found a room for us in there hotel ?? The air conditioning system was weak. We were told you can only stay 1 night,but the next day , they told us we could stay. Because of the Ferry Strike, they charged us way more than the room was worth!

Nice hotel close to the cruise ship port
The short (less than 24 hour) stay was indeed pleasurable. No problems were encountered with any of the services, check-in, check-out, complimentary breakfast, etc. They were all delivered with courtesy and efficiency. The hotel is situated on the crest of a hill with a beautiful view of the sea.

I was asked for more money to get a better room. Hotels.com and Trivago should inform the customers that the lower price is not the same room as advertised. Lastminute.com is the best to my experience.

Characteristic Hotel on the Port of Piraeus
Great location in the Port.. Staff were helpful & friendly. Be sure to check out Cartel restaurant down the hill and around the corner.

Ok hotel with great view
The staff were friendly. The hotel is a little tired and the bed could have been more comfortable. The wifi was good and it had a great location with sea views and a short walk from a great selection of restaurants. A good hotel for the price.

The room was clean so to speak but felt dirty. We found a cockroach almost immediately upon entering. Most of the light bulbs were burnt out and the AC stopped working on the second night. Check out was a nightmare as they didn't believe me that I had paid already online and they proceeded to charge me (and double at that!) despite talking to hotels.com over the phone. Absolute nightmare that I'm still dealing with working out.

The worst hotel in my 10 years of travelling.
The worst hotel in my 10 years of travelling. The room was a dumpster, cigarette everywhere, bo respect for guests sleeping (very loud music for weddings). The room we got looks bothing like the photos. It should be removed from Hotels.com

My stay was fine. The staff is very friendly and location was nice over looking the water. The rooms are cheap so don't expect it to be fancy. I enjoyed my 2 nights there.

Hotel is nice with awesome views close to beaches and nice restaurants, transportation right outside hotel,beaches with a walking distance. Restaurant is located on the second floor with beautiful view of the ocean but needs some attention. Hotel is old needs some remodels but is cleaned

sea view and balcony only double room
I booked a triple room with balcony and sea view for two nights, we got there at 2 am, they gave us a quadruple room with NO view, saying we can change the room following day. Next morning the front desk lady said they don't have triple rooms with sea view.....after getting frustrated, I got a double room with a rollway bed and sea view. Just be aware rooms with sea views and balcony are only double. Poor breakfast, people smoking inside. Clean overall, i might stay again....

Great staff, clean, but needs renovation
This hotel might have been luxurious in the 70s, but the furniture has probably not changed since. While that might be interesting in the lobby, it's not so much enjoyable in the room! I stayed in a double room, the mattress was just horrible, the bed squeaked, I couldn't sleep, and my back was sore the next day. I had booked it for three nights, yet only stayed two. The breakfast was also not good. On the plus side, it is a walking distance to the clubs and cafes in the area, and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The view is beautiful. Would only stay there again if they renovate.

Nice Hotel With Waterfront View
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The Cava D'Oro Hotel has a waterfront view, is steps from the beach, and a short walk to some of the best waterfront restaurants in Athens. But what really made my experience was the attention of the hotel staff. They are very kind and friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

This is a very nice hotel. The service was very good. It was right by the sea and although we came for business rather than a vacation, it was perfect. We found the downtown area to be a bit rough. The neighborhood at the hotel was safe and very nice.

A Dive!
This place is terrible!!! The hotel is about 90 years old and looks like it hasn't been refurbished since the 60's. Extremely outdated!!! Pictures are very misleading!!! The pictures shows a picture of a nice pool which is actually the view of the pool across the street!!! The carpet was old and many of the tiles in the balcony were broken. The glass wall in the balcony between the rooms was cracked. The view of our Seaview room had a nice view of the sea and the pool across the street. However the building next door is abandoned and looks like it has been for years. The walls are thin and could hear noises which should be kept in the room. The only reason we stayed was because it was a non refundable room. The reviews I read were overall good surprisingly. We booked there due to the proximity to Port Pareus since we had come back from Mykonos Island. There were however some good restaurants about a half km away on the water. The staff was friendly however spoke little english.
