The fresh sea breeze is relaxing in every season and in winter you can experience here in clear weather, the colors of the northern lights in the sky up close. The coastal landscape of the island is a good terrain for walks with the family, whether along the coast or in the mountains. The Ånderdalen nasjonalpark offers rich fauna and flora. At the top of the mountains you have a magnificent view towards Andfjorden in the west and Solbergfjorden in the east. Good fishing spot on site, boat rental in Skrolsvik. Day trips to the west coast of the island with its rugged mountain scenery and idyllic beaches are recommended. In summer there is a car ferry between Gryllefjord and Andenes.
